Hi everyone.

I just ordered our tickets for MNSSHP on October 14.
Since we've never experienced this before (never even experienced Halloweeen before), we have quite a few questions.

The Disney website mentions that kids and adults can trick or treat in the park, and that they get a goody bag when they enter the park.

How and where do we trick or treat? - Do we sing in the shops, or what?

Costumes should not be offensive or too scary... Is it o.k to be a vampyre, Frankenstein...?

Hope you can help me out with this, cause I really want my kids (and us adults too of course) to get the most out of our last night.

Thanks everyone
Freyja

We went to MNSSHP a few years ago and had a great time!

There are trick or treat stations set up all through the Magic Kingdom for kids (and adults too) to get their treats. There's also a parade during the party.

We (a family of 5) each dressed as our favorite Disney character. My kids got a lot of attention from the characters. My oldest DS was dressed as Capt. Hook. During the parade Peter Pan and Wendy both came over and made a big deal of him. It was a lot of fun.

Have fun!

When you receive your tickets for this event in the mail, you will be given a list of instructions about the costumes. They do give you a little bag to put your treats (candy) in. I went with a friend of mine (we are both adults), and we were dressed up. There are places around the park where candy is distributed, and kids can really make out like a bandit! I beleive there is trick or treating going on at Downtown Disney as well.

Trick or treating on halloween was something I loved to do as a kid. i live in a large city here in the US and a group of us would go around the neighborhood and not on doors - trick or treat! and come home with lots of candy (and good memories).

Have a great time at MNSSHP! We'll be ther again on the 31st!

PS: Welcome to the DIS!
