I have booked this lunch but not sure if I'm going to keep it. We are already doing the Perfectly Princess Tea Party with Sleeping Beauty and paying an arm (maybe two) and a leg for it. I am not giving up the tea party, but am second guessing Akershuh as my DD is a very fussy eater and I don't think she'd eat too much on the menu. Is it easy to find the princesses throughout the park or the MK? I guess I was doing it for the experience for my DD3, but I'm wondering if seeing Sleeping Beauty at the tea pary might be enough? Can you help convince me either way?? We are also doing the Crystal Palace breakfast where she'll dine with Pooh and Friends, so she'll have plenty of character experiences....what do you think?

Truthfully, DH and I went last year for lunch because he wanted to try the food (we did not go for the princesses--which, by the way, were Belle, Alice in Wonderland, Jasmine, Pocahantas and Ariel). We were not impressed with the food. The buffet of cheese and meats were pretty good. DH had the braised lamb and did not care for it; I had the Traditional K???? (I can never spell it) which was like a meatloaf and it was only okay (the potatos were pretty good). The desserts were fair at best. I believe you can go to Mickey's Toontown and there is a line for princesses somewhere (someone who has daughters would know this better than me, a mom of two boys!).

We were just there in June and we opted for the breakfast. Since it was one of the only character meals we hadn't tried, we decided to do the breakfast because we too were a little weary of the lunch menu. The food was good, but we were a little disappointed with the characters. It was so busy that the princesses didn't stay for long, and the experience was very rushed. I don't think we would do it again, only because it was very expensive. We absolutely LOVE Crystal Palace and I think you'll have a great time there!

thank you both for your responses. So far, my feeling is to cancel. It was one of the first ADRs I made and I was really excited (because I couldn't get CRT), but then I found the Tea party and the Bippidi Boppidi Boutique so i think my DD will get the princess treatment in different places. I'm going to post it on the cancel board to see if anyone wants it. Anyone else have any last minute "wait don't cancel!" thoughts???

If it were me and I had a 3 year old I would cancel Akershus and the tea. I would do 1900 park fare for dinner and maybe Akershus for breakfast. At 1900 Park Fare for dinner you will see Cinderella and Prince Charming along with the Step Mother and Sisters. Very Entertaining!
Last Fall we did Akershus for breakfast and really enjoyed it. We saw Belle, Jasmine, Mary Poppins & Snow White.
I think that would be the best bargain for my dollar. Just my 2 cents.

Have fun, whatever you decide!

You said your daughter is a picky eater, but since she is three she would eat off the kids menu, not the regular menu. My DD6 got the pizza, which she said she enjoyed. We were there in June and the food was very good and it was probably one of the quietest and least rushed of any character meals we have done. We also did 1900 Park Fare, and although I'm glad we did it once, we probably won't be back. I am planning on going back to Norway next year.

It is also nice that there is photo package included with your meal. The picture in my signature is from there.:)

Like KatMark said, Toontown is a great place for quality princess time. Even better than any meal I have ever been to. It's three princesses, you get photos with each (the ones you take and there is also a photopass photographer), and they actually get to have a little conversation with each one. That being said, you must get there early, when it opens, the princess line (there is a "regular" character line too) will be too long if you don't.

We love the PSB meals. We have done all three over the course of several years and it is one of our must do's each trip. We have always liked the food.. Dd gets grilled chicken off the kids menu and I sample around. We like the buffet part because we are both total fruit nuts and I could eat my weight in cheese. We have had rushed character interaction but we have also had great interaction... it just varies. The pics you get with your greeter are wonderful IMO. Cinderella has always been there as well as Belle and Ariel ( for us.. this does change). The ones that we have seen vary are Jasmine, Mulan, Snow white, and Aurora.
I will also add that if you enjoy a cocktail with lunch or dinner they have some pretty yummy fruity ones.

I love the picture of your daughter, how beautiful! I'm thinking of maybe switching to breakfast if I can get a reservation. I never even thought of that...can you eat there before the park opens? Do you still get the photo package with breakfast? I'm still a little torn, but now, I'm back in the middle. Toontown sounds like a great idea too. Do the princesses come out at the park opening? Glad to hear there's a photopass dude there. I'll be pre-ordering mine pretty soon :) Keep your comments coming, I'm still on the fence here! Thanks for all the comments so far :)

We loved Akershus for breakfast! The princesses were very attentive and came to each table. We did not feel rushed. The atmosphere was very relaxed. The food was also very good.

We're doing this breakfast again on our next trip. It's a way to see 5 princesses in one place! I'm hoping we can avoid the Toontown tent on our next trip if we can see all the princesses at Akershus and other places.
