Over the last several years we have gone the first week of December (Pop Warner Week); this past year we went the week after Thanksgiving.

This year I have rented a villa for 10 DAYS starting the 6th of December through the 16th. How are crowds the second week of December compared to the first week? When do the Christmas crowds arrive?

We plan on checking out Universal on the 7th and 8th and then spending the rest of the week at WDW.

The search feature has been down for the last several days so I decided to go ahead and post.

Traditionally, the "CROWDS" start to ramp-up about the 15th and continue to grow from there to the "big day", so you should be GREAT!

Hopefully you made a good choice, then it means we have too! We're going the 10th thru the 16th to celebrate my DS' 10th birthday on the 11th.

Can't wait for the MVMCP tix to go on sale! :)

You made a great choice, that's the week I wanted to go but we ended up the week earlier due to work conflicts. But my week is a good week too. :)

GREAT choice. That's when we're going this year and when we went in 2003. Crowds were minimal (by Disney standards of course!)

That's my birthday too!!! We're doing CRT for my birthday. :) Maybe I'll see your DS with his birthday pin around the parks!

Definitely made a great choice!!! I have been going this week for years. Last year my sister went the first week and I my normal second week and she bit her tongue but wishes she would have listened to me.

During the week is great. MK always seems to be crazy on Sat and Sun. All the locals come in to see the Holiday decorations etc.

We will be at SSR from 8-12th

any time we went in Dec we were in good shape till the day peak/holiday/what ever they call it now season started then it literally changed overnight..only made the mistake of staying till then once( that's 12/20 this yr so along as you are gone by then...)

We were there this past December from the 4th to the 17th and it was great. As always in December, the weather is very changeable (be prepared for the whole spectrum from quite chilly to hot, usually with some rain) (though I love the cooler weather for touring). Crowds are fine - they have certainly picked up from a post-9/11 low, but still very doable. We found that it seemed/looked more crowded, but lines on attractions were fine. We love this time of year - Candlelight Processional, holiday Illuminations, Osborne Lights, decorations, etc. Have a great time!

I'm doin' the happy dance after reading this post! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I'm going that week too! My first full week during December - and only my second Dec trip ever!!

Now, if they'll just release party dates and narrator schedules. Don't they realize my planning times is slipping away??? :hourglass

COOL! Hope to see you around, although I know we won't be doing CRT, lol! Maybe the Toy Story character meal if it ever comes to fruition but he isn't a character meal kind of kid-quiet around them! Hope you have a terrific b-day! :)
