We have stayed at Pop 4 times. I have wanted to try one of the All Stars but we always go back to Pop because of the bussing.

Please tell me it will be ok with bussing. That is our biggest concern. I convinced Dh to try ASMus by reminding him of all the busses we saw being used for them verus the couple for Pop. They seemed to have more for those resorts even though they share them.

If anyone has stayed at both resorts did you find them compareable time wise ? Is the food court similar ? What about the pools ?

We usually stay at Pop Preferred by the pool. But we are trying to do this on a budget so had to book standard. I'm worried we will hate it. We are there 8 nights.

It'll be fine! Buses seem equally good at All Stars as Pop to me. We've stayed a bunch of times at Movies, Music and Pop. and I have no complaints. Sometimes another resort bus line looks better no matter where you're staying :)

One nice thing about staying at Music, if you wanted, you're in the middle between Sports and Movies and have other pools and food courts to check out.
I enjoy the main pool areas at Music, nice landscaping, colorful, and fun. Pop's food court and gift shop are bigger but the crowd levels seem pretty similar to me.

Relax, you'll be on vacation! Have a great 8 nights pixiedust:

We liked ASMusic a lot better than Pop. We had better service, the beds were more comfortable, the pools less crowded and the bus service was better on our trips. At peak times the All Stars had their own buses when we were there. That combined with the fact that they're individually smaller than Pop made for less crowded buses than what we expereinced at Pop. They also seemed to come more often.

We preferred everything at the All-Stars over Pop...
All-Stars bussing seems to get a bad rap, but for us, it has always been fine. I have found that the buses are less crowded at the All-Stars...so lines and wait times were shorter, especially on the ride back to the resort after park closing. The only time that we shared a bus was when we left the parks early one night and to be honest, it really wasn't a big deal to stop at the other resorts. They are right next to each other.
We love the theming at Movies, but Music seems a little quieter and more laid back. The pools were not crazy crowded and the movies by the pool every night at the Music resort was nice. The food court was fine and in my opinion, the food/service was the same as Pop...with shorter lines. Pop was just hectic...and the All-Stars were not. It will be fine...enjoy your trip!:goodvibes

If you are going to ASmu because of the bus service I think you will be disappointed. Personally I found it to be about the same as POP. If you are the type of person that likes to get out of the parks and away from Disney in the evening then ASmu is perfect. I love the theming and the "electricity" of POP.
ASmu is way too relaxing and laid back for me. And just not as Disney feeling.

We love Pop Century but I booked All Star Sports for Labor Day because it was cheaper. I, too, am concerned about the buses which is why I did the Sports (if the bus is shared, Sports will be first, I think). But I'm going to just deal with it. Since you would be at Music, if you had a problem with the buses, just get on and off at Sports since it's right next door (if my thinking is correct).
