Please tell me that I'm not the only one who endlessly obsesses over their resort choice. Here's my dilemma. We're staying at SSR for 5 nights in June. Since this trip is for our 10th anniversary I've added 4 extra nights at the GF. We have 2 DD (5 & 2). DW prefers the GF while I know that DDs prefer the Poly. I'd be happy with either as we've stayed at both and I like them. I've switched back and forth between the Poly and GF about 10 times already and I'm driving DW nuts. I need to make a decision and just stick with it. Has anyone ever faced a similar dilemma? A part of me says that the kids will love the Poly and the other part of me says that I should go for the GF since it's the 10th anniversary. I desperately need help before DW takes away my Disney planning privileges. :scared1: Please tell me I'm not alone with this dilemma. Also, please tell me which would you would go with. The Dis has given me so much good advice over the years and I'm really counting on some experts to help me make the decision. :confused3

Since it's your anniversary make your wife happy the kids will have fun wherever they are!

I do this too. I have changed my mind about what hotel we will stay at for our Sept trip. First it was the BC, now we're at the Poly. Love the Poly, never stayed at BC and was scared to death I had made the wrong decision. (Heard not so good stuff about the concierge lounge there...too small, closes part of the day, ect) I went back and forth for months and finally it had me so worried I couldn't sleep so I just moved us over to the Poly. My poor DH thought I had lost my mind. Best part about him is he really doesn't care where we stay, as long as we have a great time!:thumbsup2

I also think you should take into consideration that it is your anniversary trip and if the GF is the DWs favorite, I'd go there. Have fun no matter where you wind up!!

I do the very same thing and drive my DH completely crazy second guessing everything. We absolutely love the Poly.. But I think it would be wonderful to do the GF, since your DW loves it and it's your 10th anniversary.

Going through the same thing right now. When we decided to go back we there was no question we would be staying at POP. That is where we stayed last time and loved it. Well then I hung out here on the boards so long and read so much about POR and saw all the great pictures and talked DH into changing. Then early this week I thought why am I spending all that extra money when we were so happy at POP. So now we are back to staying at POP. I just wish that August would get here so we know the 2009 packages so I can book. I don't think I will change once it is booked (no promises though ;) )

:cutie: I am so glad that I am not alone!!! My husband thinks I have lost my mind also!!
I was booked at AKL consierge level. Then when FD came out- I tried to get it and they did not have any at the club level with FD. So- I moved down to standard level ( but extended our stay 2 more days to make up for not club level.) My husband really wanted the free dining. Now I am waking up at night thinking if I made the right decision..... the boys and my husband say I am crazy and the trip is perfect.
So I know exactly what you are going through.... you are a perfectionist too!!

I would go with pleasing the wife whenever possible, especially for your tenth anniversary.

My husband can't believe that I even bring up the topic of what resort we should choose at the dinner table since our next trip is more than a year away... Am I obsessed, you bet. Is there anything wrong with that ... absolutely not! ;)

Why not pick a resort you haven't stayed at yet? WL? Yacht Club? Then, you will have added a new resort to the list, and no one else "wins".

My 4 DDs and I love to discuss all of the details of our trip. We have a rule that we aren;t allowed to discuss ADRs at the dinner table because all of the talk drives DH nuts. He says he doesn't care where we eat. We're supposed to just tell him where to be each day. We can't discuss our ever changing plans in front of him!:rotfl2:

Do you know the saying "If mama's happy, everyone's happy?" It is your anniversary and I would do what's going to make her happy, the kids can have their turn when they are in the parks and the fact that they are in WDW they will get over not being at The Poly. Besides GF is awesome, I know they will find things there to love too. I think they are a little on the young side to really have that hard core of a preference as of yet, so do what will make Mama happy. ;)
I bet if you tell the girls your doing something special for mom and dad they will be fine with it.
