Hey Dissers! I am finally back on the boards after a bout with the "post vacation blues" since our trip last summer. I love WDW sooo much and wish I could go more often but....some of you know how it is! Had the best vacation last year, free dining, great weather, lots of fun!! Anyway, DH and I recently sold our house and bought a new one and are able to take advantage of the tax credit! We were thrilled and DH told me today that we should use that money to go back to Disney next year!! I am an obsessive planner and truly enjoy it (probably too much)! So, as my title says, have I lost my mind? I want to start planning. I know the where (POR) because we loved it there and it can accommodate our family of five. My problem is the when. I will have 1 child in college, 1 junior in high school and a kindergartener. I don't necessarily mind taking them out of their public school for some time but I am worried about my DD in college. I would love to avoid the really crowded times like spring break but I am not sure if it will be possible. My DH works for a very large company and has to choose his weeks of vacation in January so I sort of have to know well in advance. I have gone on to long already! Thanks for letting me rant. Hope to hear from some of you!

YAY!! Congrats. Like you, I get the post Disney blues when our vacation is over and have to start planning another trip even if it is a year or more away. I know how you feel with trying to pick when to go. I refuse to go during school vacations due to the crowds. Spending too much money to be in line forever..so we take our daughters out of school for a week. I wouldn't even consider it if they weren't excellent students and never miss school otherwise. Also, my husband is a tax accountant and works 7 days a week from January to end of April so that eliminates vacationing during school vacation too. We love going in early May. This way the school year is winding down, the weather in Florida is nice and the crowds are manageable. Good luck to you and I hope you have a fabulous vacation.

You have the time to plan a magical vacation:goodvibes:cool1::):wizard::woohoo::dance3::cheer2:

No, you haven't lost your mind! I start getting the blues on our last park day, while we're still in the park. I'm a little better the next morning until we officially leave Disney property. But, as soon as the trip home is a little further underway...we begin to relive our experiences, then the discussions of next years trip begin. It's a year round event for us! :goodvibes Happy planning!

I vote you take advantage of the winter break for college. During my 4 years of undergrad and three years of graduate school I always got out of school well in advance of Christmas. One year I was completely done on something like December 2nd (that was nice). You'd get to see all the Christmas decorations, maybe go to a Christmas party and hopefully have low crowds. So if you don't mind pulling your kids out of public school that's when I would go.

Never been at Christmastime so if you do go I'm totally jealous!
