we are checking in on March 29. My parents will be coming on March 30 to spend a few nights with us. It will be 6 of us total, so I know I can do this but I just don't know what to do. Should I just tell them at check in that they are arriving a day later? And can u have two vehicles?

Thanks for your input!

They have never charged us for extra people at the Fort; so I would just include them when you register. Also just ask them for another parking pass when you register.

The only person who HAS to be there on arrival day is the primary individual who made the reservation.

So like Cousin Ed C says, list everybody now on the reservation from day one. You can have up to 10 people on the reservation (no extra cost per person) so put them on there now so you can get their Magic Bands customized before they ship. They can use their MB to drive right in.

As far as extra vehicles go, as long as they aren't parked on the grass Disney has been ignoring the extra vehicles. Sometimes even when parked on the grass or off the concrete they still ignore it. They do have the right to ask you to move the extra vehicle, but this is mainly if it blocks the main loop.

I would think as long as the extra vehicle doesn't cause problems for other campers you should be fine.

We always park our second vehicle in the overflow lot to free up space on the site for breathing room. There's no problem getting a pass for the dashboard.

My mother came down and visited with us a few days last Oct., I went to the outpost and told them of her arrival day, they added her to the ressie, gave me a magic band for her. When she showed up at the gate, she just told them who she was and what site she was going to and they let her in. She parked her car at the site with mine. We had plenty of room with 2 cars and where far enough away from the road for anyone trying to back in the site across from ours.

Last weekend the folks across from us had 4 cars and over 15 people on their site.

Me thinks the answer is now clear! Hope you have an awesome time. :)

EDIT: Damn I hate tyops :)

Thanks everyone! I will add them to my reservation:) As far as parking at the site...we have a full size truck and my dad has a one-ton dually...so two at the site would prob take up all our space, so we will be parking one at the overflow I would think. I guess they let you do that, since some of you have done that in the past.

Just make sure they have their parking pass in the windshield. We saw pick up in overflow, cars, big haulers, you name it.

We frequently fly part of our party in separate from driving with us. I get there and setup, then in a day or two, I pick them up at the airport. Like bama_ed says, just get everybody on the reservation for the full stay. It also makes the dining plan impossible to use because everybody has to have it for the length of the reservation, not just the days they are there.

We had the dining plan once. The DW likes it because we don't have to worry about getting food and it makes ADRs easier too. While I hate paying $100 for a meal at WDW that I would normally pay $40 at home, I still think it's better to pay OOP for the meals then the DDP (for us).

I will say, however, that you will NOT go hungry on the DDP. Plenty of food. Then again, you still pay for it (one way or another).
