My family was at the world in July for my mom's birthday. I had read all over the internet that if you tell the hotel at check-in it is a member of you party's birthday they will do something special like a picture of a character and their signature. Well we didn't get anything but that didn't stop us.
We brough decorations from home like streamer, paper, markers stuff like that and decorated the room once she fell asleep.
Whatever park you go in the day of the birthday go to guest relations and get a birthday button along with a special call from a character. My moms 44 and loved it.
Also anywhere we went to eat they decorated the table. At Tony's in MK the dapper dans sang Happy Birthday to her. I was beautiful.
OH Yeah, we were staying at boardwalk and ordered a mickey cake from the bakery.
And our biggest surprise for her was a Wishes Cruise. We told her we were going to Ohana's for dinner but we boarded a boat and watched the fireworks.
So I guess disney provides some magic for birthdays, but it's really fun when you do things also
