Tell me good things about the ressies I have...

ADRs:
Chef Mickey's (Dinner) Good Character Meal, food just O.K.
Garden Grill (Dinner)Only have done lunch which they've since discontinued.
Crystal Palace (Breakfast) O.K. Breakfast Buffet
T-Rex (lunch) Food was excellent, enough to share, kids loved it.
Liberty Tree Tavern (Dinner)I like lunch better, dinner is not as good as it used to be years ago but it's fine.
Boma (Dinner---the night we arrive!)All I can say is pace yourselves and try a little of everything, even if it's not something you've ever had before. Love it, we go every trip.
Whispering Canyon Cafe (Dinner)It's decent BBQ, good ambiance.

Just my opinion, let us know what you thought, after your trip!

Boma-very yummy! The seafood soup is to die for.
LTT-we had a blast with our great server and the apple crisp dessert was one of my favorite desserts of the trip.
CP-great breakfast and the kids liked the character parade.

Do not fill up on the milkshakes at WCC!!!! They are good, but the skillet is better. And the caramel apple pie is to die for! If you don't have room for it after dinner, make sure to get a piece to go.

AHHH! i :lovestruc ur ADR's! very niiiice! :thumbsup2
crystal palace RULES! I just love the setting characters and not to mention the food is great! :cloud9:
chef mickeys ... im actually not too sure how dinner is there as i normaLLY do breakfast!
BOMA! youre going to looove it! dont forget to save swome room for the zebra domes! :cloud9:

CP Breakfast-One of our favorite breakfast buffets on property. Make sure you have the Puffed French Toast :cloud9: so yummy! Great way to start your day in MK.

CM-We've only been for breakfast, but the "Fab 5" make this a character meal we often return to again and again. Excellent photo opp's! :thumbsup2

WCC-Really liked the Bottomless Milkshakes, but like another poster said, don't fill up on them (which is easy to do). The Queso there was really good.

LTT-We have a lunch ADR next month...I've heard GREAT things about all their desserts.

Enjoy! ;)

Have not read all this: We eat at Bomas every trip. They have 4-5 soups per night that change. Mon and Thursday are the Seafood Gumbo nights. This is one of the best Gumbos that I have ever eaten. So now I will only eat there on one of those nights.

LLT, Great, it's like Thanksgiving Dinner, have not eaten there since the characters are gone. It was a must do for us before that.

Don't worry, you have great ADRS! You'll enjoy it all. If you search you'll see that there are negative comments for every restaurant - even favorites like LeCellier. Here are my (positive) comments:

Chef Mickey's (Dinner) The characters always put everyone in a Disney mood! My kids love the ice cream toppings bar! :lovestruc Talk about a kid in a candy store! Riding the monorail there was also very exciting for them (okay for me too...:rolleyes1) We had so-so food last time we were there - but we're going again because enough dishes were good and we had a good time!

Garden Grill (Dinner) Haven't been but Chip and Dale are always so much fun.

Crystal Palace (Breakfast) - Have only done dinner but we love CP. The dining room is pretty, the food is really tasty for a buffet and Pooh and friends are great. What a fantastic way to start a Magic Kingdom day!

T-Rex (lunch) - haven't been but it sounds really fun.

Liberty Tree Tavern (Dinner) Our friends really like it here. I'm told if you have a "hankerin" for Thanksgiving food you'll love it.

Boma (Dinner---the night we arrive!) Boma is still one of my favorites. I like the interesting food choices (although you can still find some "meat and potatoes") and AKL is awesome. Take some time to walk around the resort, if you can. It will rev you up for your vacation.

Whispering Canyon Cafe (Dinner) Haven't been but some say the "antics" are more likely to happen at dinner making the experience more fun.

Have a great trip.:goodvibes

And Crystal Palace Breakfast is really fun and has great food! Never been to the rest but heard great things about them all!! Have a great trip :goodvibes

We did Chef Mickey's for breakfast...character interaction was fantastic, food...eh.

Crystal Palace (we've done breakfast and lunch) is hands down one of our must-dos each trip. GREAT food and GREAT character interaction. Who couldn't love Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, and Piglet.pooh::eeyore::tigger: (no piglet smiley!)

We enjoyed T-Rex for a late lunch/early dinner. The food is very much like a Rainforest Cafe type food and the atmosphere is great. Turn the Rainforest Cafe thunderstorm into a meteor shower and there you go!

Boma for dinner is another one of our must-dos. We LOVE it!!!

The other ADRs you have are not ones we have done yet. I am on the fence about trying WCC. I want to, but am not thrilled with the menu choices (although I think DH would like it).

Boma- hands down, my favorite restaurant at WDW. I love trying new things and haven't had anything there I didn't like. My husband is not one to try new flavors, but he really enjoyed it too. Make sure you go really hungry as there are so many things to try.

LTT- Haven't been there since it was a character meal, but we really liked it. Both DH and I liked the food and would definitely go there again.

Crystal Palace breakfast - WONDERFUL! It's one of our favorites! The food is always fresh; the buffet line is always clean; and the restaurant itself is beautiful. We prefer breakfast in the 10-10:30 range. That way we get some rides in and then have "brunch." We've found the character interaction to be superb at that time too.

Boma dinner - Now it's been 3 years, but we also ate there on our arrival night when we stayed at AKL. We all really enjoyed it. There were signs naming and describing the more unusual dishes. Even my daughter, who was 8 at the time, tried some of the Africian inspired foods. There was also plenty to satisfy my picky son. The desserts were great! They were mostly sample size, so that you could try many different things without sugar overload. The zebra domes were the best!

Whispering Canyon Cafe dinner - We did this for the first time on our trip last December. It was great! I know the food gets a lot of negative comments here, but we enjoyed it. You just have to go in knowing that it's not Le Cellier. My husband & I both got the skillet. I didn't eat the ribs (not really a ribs fan), but the beef brisket and the pulled pork were delish! I also really liked the salad - it had a great dressing. Both kids had cheeseburgers. They even let the kids get a bottomless shake as their drink on the DDP. We were so full that we brought our desserts back to the room for the next day.

Garden Grill dinner - For me, the absolute best thing about this restaurant was that they had fresh brewed sweet tea. That's a hard thing to find in WDW!! The motor was broken when we were there in December, so the restaurant didn't rotate, which was a bummer. The character interaction was great; each character came by our table at least three times. While the food wasn't my favorite place, I can't say it was bad. The catfish was really good, and I don't normally eat catfish. I liked the fact that the vegetables came from their crops downstairs. Personally, my husband & I preferred the food at WCC, but my son says it's one of his favorite restaurants now. Go figure.

I just try to approach dining at WDW (or anywhere, really) with the mindset that I have to try it for myself. You read positives and negatives for just about every dining option at WDW. Just go & ENJOY!

We are new to WDW and are going this October. I made our ADRs.
I love the disboards :lovestruc and have really enjoyed reading everyone's comments about dining. I've seen that many feel the quality and/or service has gone down recently.
I appreciate those posts, but for this particular one, I'm looking for any GOOD comments you have about our reservations. If you've been to one of these and loved the food, the characters, the service, the ambiance, etc...please let me know. Help us get psyched up and excited! :woohoo::yay::cool1:

Here's the good on the one's I have been to (not so good in parenthesis):
Chef Mickey's - My kids LOVED this place and the characters. They were so excited to see them all & this dinner was one of the best of the trip for them. (It is so busy and some of the food was questionable - I stuck to the mushroom ravioli. I did not think that characters spent enough time. Akershus was MUCH better. Bathrooms aren't in the restaurant!)

Boma - The food is fabulous! What a great selection of food and a unique experience. The staff is friendly and treated our large party very nicely - including my son who was celebrating his birthday. (Nothing bad - LOVED this place!!)

Oh wow, I haven't been to any of the other places on your list - I better get cracking and take another trip :rotfl:
