Tell me everything about Nick Hotel!

Hi everyone! We are dreaming of a Disney Trip in 2012 and I have been doing some research for Disney, but we think we may do Universal for a few days too.

I am interested in the Nick Hotel. Is this a hotel that you can do Front of the Line with?

We are considering splitting a stay with Disney for a few days to get the Dining Plan and then moving to Nick Hotel. Has anyone stayed at Nick and gone to Disney? The website says it is just a mile from Disney. What were your travel times?

I dont know anything about the Nick Hotel, but it isn't a Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure hotel. You would not get FOTL access at US/IOA staying at Nick.

We have been 3 times and next month will be our 4th. The kids beg to go back. Not sure how old your kids are but mine are now 8 1/2, almost 7 and 3 and they love it, yet there is still so much they have not done because they are younger. But there is lots to do to keep busy and have fun!

The Nick Hotel is not park of Universal. It is actually closer to Disney than it is to Universal. If you travel from the airport on 417 and then take 536 (I think) it is on that road on the way to Disney. If you want a Universal hotel for the unlimited express pass with your room key you would need the Royal Paficia, Hard Rock, or Portofino Bay.

My bad, I thought it was a Universal Hotel. It looks pretty cool for kids on the website. We might just do that as an offsite thing for the Universal days.

Do the Universal hotels have any suites? We are thinking about doing suites (probably the All Star Suites for the Disney part, but we are just in the beginning stages of lookng around.)
