Disney in April.

WE have been to Disney 7 times, but always between October and February when it is cooler and slower.

We have friends who are planning on going next April and have asked us to join them. I would like to know what the reality of Disney in April is before I commit.

You guys are always a wealth of information and the first place I come to get the latest on anything Disney.

I know you won't let me down.

As long as you avoid the week before and after Easter, crowds are not that bad. Probably busier than the winter months but bearable. The weather in April is great! 60s in the early mornings, warming up into the 75-85 degree range by afternoon. As for rain, in our 3 April trips we only experienced 1 very short shower. Finally, the BEST part of an April trip is that you will be there for the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot, it is simply beautiful!

I was in a bit of a panic. We are so use to our trips during the winter months that we are scared of going when it is busy. But we did talk about the fact that we will have to do our trip differently than usual.

We've gone in April and as long as you avoid Easter crowds it is fabulous! Lines are not that bad and the weather is beautiful. I think April is the perfect time to go! If I didn't have kids in school I would go again in April in a heartbeat!

April is a brilliant time to go! I went in April '05. It wasn't too busy, but just busy enough that all those popular extras such as spectromagic were available on a regular basis. The Epcot garden festival is AMAZING!!! Full size coloured hedges that look like disney characters, they were so precise! The weather was good, it rarely rained, but wasn't too hot and the weather was certainly suitable for outdoor swimming. Overall, I'd seriously consider going in April next time I visit - I hope you have a good time!

All of our long trips have been the first week of April because that is my kids spring break and my oldest sons birthday is April 7. We're skipping this year- doing some day trips then a big trip next January. We have always managed to miss Easter but I can tell you even with spring break going on, we were not bothered by the crowds. We rode most of the big rides and our longest wait was 45 min for TOT. We even managed to get a last minute ressie for my dsis and her 4 kids at POR AND seating for 5 extra people at CP so they could be there for my sons bday. Enjoy your trip. The weather is beautiful in April!
