A friend of ours began having seizures a few months ago. Naturally he went to visit a neurologist who ordered every test possible to find the cause. The doctor says he's having "pseudo seizures" which are usually caused by stress. She (doctor) recommended a psychiatrist. He's "rocked" over this and is dragging his feet on making an appointment. In the mean time, he's lost his job, can't drive and has fallen out in 2 different restaurants in a 3 day period. Each time, his wife calls for paramedics and he's taken to the ER. They never find anything wrong. So, if anyone is familiar with this, what has been the treatment plan?

Interesting I have never heard of that term.

My dd has "seizures". I have had her to the neurologist and right now the the diagnosis is a "Vasal Vagal" response to stress or medical procedures. She will pass out and sometimes it appears as a seizure.

Next stop is the Pediatric Cardiologist to make sure it is just a "vasal vagal" response to stress/anxiety/illness. She is 9 and it is getting worse. She can pass out when she gets her blood pressure taken.
