Tell me all I need to know about HRH.

I am looking at the HRH for a one night stay in Sept so I can take my oldest tosee the Harry Pooter stuff. What do I need to know about the hotel? I picked it because it seems closest to IOA. We'll probably walk to IOA though I'd like to know more aobut the rickshaws I have seem in other posts. We'll also hit the pool if the weather cooperated. Is there a good location to ask for- we'd want a quiet room. We are not late night people. Also, how should I go about getting the best rate? Thanks.

Actually the Royal Pacific is closest to IOA, for what it's worth. You're talking a couple of minutes either way. If your main goal is to get your kid into the early entry for WWOHP then you should choose by price, not location. There is a sticky with FAQs for each hotel so you can compare amenities and theming. And also be sure to note that your one-night stay will actually get you 2 days of early entry into the parks. You can arrive for your reservation and they will issue you passes even if a room isn't ready yet then you go to your room when you're ready to take a break from the action. It's also good the entire day you check out. That is one of the best perks in any theme park anywhere in the world IMO.

I'm wondering now if I should switch to RPH since it's a bit closer. We are only doing one day at IOA and then heading to WDW, so the other amenities really don't matter.

RPH would be cheaper than HRH.

You will enjoy any of the on site hotels you chose to stay in.

You can check AP (annual pass) rates by choosing Promo in the drop down menu and the "APH" in the code box.

You can also call to check AAA rates since these can not be done online.
