I think this may qualify for one of the strangest threads ever on the CB! :p In fact I can't believe my life has changed so much that I even have to ask this question!

I need to know what kind of dry dog food you feed your dog and what size are the pieces. I have a toy poodle and I need to find some new dry dog food that will not be a choking hazard for DS. He currently eats Kibbles n' Bits and there are pieces that are hard round balls that are a choking hazard for DS.

If you are still confused see this thread: Adventures in Crawling - What Do I Do With The Dog's Food?

Becka, don't know if this would be any help, but this is how I handled that issue. My dog only gets fed twice a day. When he was eating, my crawling dd wasn't in the area. Of course, Chappy is such a chow hound that his food is gone in about 30 seconds!! I'm not even sure if he chews it first. We never had any uneaten food left over. I would feed your pup when the crawlin' cutie isn't around!!! Can't have any choking.

goofy - Thanks for the tip but in this case I really don't want to do that because my dog has always been used to eating whenever he wanted to. We have always left the bowls of food and water down all day. He would probably get used to being fed twice a day pretty quick but I think it would be a difficult change for him to make. He is pretty set in his ways.

We give our Weimaraner Shiloh Eukanuba Adult Maintenance dry dog food. Both the breeder and our Vet recommends small kibble for any dog, and the Eukanuba we buy is small kibble.

Maggie, our Yorkie, eat Nutro chicken and rice (I think). It's small, but she's a small dog.
Milo eats prescription food.

Both of our dogs only eat in the morning and when we get home from work, so there's never just dog food around.

Our dog eats the Purina food with vegetables on the package (I can't think of the name at the moment), but you don't want to use that. It's full of choking hazzards. Fortunately, our dog always eats the whole bowl at once, so we'll be able to move his bowl when he's not eating when Jacob starts to crawl.

We feed Moose Natures Recipe Lamb and Rice Senior-it is small enough kibble that I don't think it would be a choking hazzard and it goes soft quickly when it gets wet.

Science Diet makes a teeeny pellet type dog food.
