hi i will be leaving in less than 24 hours and just made a last minute adr for lecellier. we were supposed to be in mk on saturday but now decided to do epcot on saturday. how is it? just wanting to know what you recommend to order...i saw the menu on all ears and it looks good! i was surprised to be able to get a last minute ressie so just wondering how good it is!! :cool1:

I have never eaten there myself, but my best friend was there last week and she said that the steaks were to die for!! She said that it was the best filet mignon that she ever had!! This says alot because she has traveled all over the world!! She did say that her husband's fish was a little dry. All in all though she loved the atmosphere and the service!!

LeCellier takes on the feel of an old wine cellar. The atmosphere is relaxing and a nice rest from the busy parks as it is a bit dim lit. I had the surf and turf last week and the filet was cooked perfectly. The cheese soup was a must try and my son loved the different breadsticks which each represented a region of Canada.
For dessert, the maple creme brulee was awesome! The staff were very friendly, and the fact that we were on the dining plan, I don't feel changed our service at all. I hope you have a wonderful experience there! :Pinkbounc

I haven't been there yet but it got the highest percentage of votes of people who said they would eat there again(93%) in the Unofficial Guide's restaurant reviews and I hear great things about it.

For me, Le Cellier was the best meal of our last trip. My sister and I had the filet, SO tender and prepared to our liking. DH and my mom had the bone-in Rib eye (I think). He said outside of Kansas City it was the best cut of meat he had ever eaten. My mom is a bit picky with beef prep, she said she had never had a steak so perfectly prepared.

At times is seemed a bit noisy, but not overly so. We had a late seating so everyone was rushing to head out for Illuminations. We were finishing up with the final sounds of the show, so we sat tight and enjoyed dessert. Not great for us, just ok. But after the wonderful main course, we were not worried.

BTW, I found the cheese soup lived up to the hype. It was served the perfect temp. I've read several reviews that stated it was served lukewarm. We didn't have the problem.

I had a great meal there. I hope you will too.

Le Cellier is our favorite restaurant at Disney - the steaks are to die for. I have to say the service is kind of spotty - not offensive, just inexperienced, imo. (very nice waiters, but like they forgot to bring our salads one time for instance. Then offered to take our main course back and bring it after salads - nope, rather have that fresh & hot! LOL) So if that drives you nuts, I'd go somewhere else, but the food more than makes up for it - and they have never been rude or anything, just a few odd mistakes like that. (every time we've eaten there, too - we have to laugh - it may just be our luck?!? LOL) Definitely try the cheese soup, too!

We loved LeCellier...ate there (for the first time) on our first night at WDW last month. The atmosphere was very relaxing and cozy. My hubby and I ate the filet mignon (he had the filet with mushrooms). Both were delicious and cooked to perfection. My kids enjoyed it too. The bread is wonderful (pretzel, sour dough, and I think whole grain). A couple of us had the cheese soup (yummy...our terrific server - Stefany - suggested dipping the bread in the soup too) and my husband ate the shrimp cocktail appetizer (different, and very tasty). Of course we saved room for dessert. I ate the wonderful maple creme brulee. We agreed that this was at the top of our list in dining (along with Boma). And a fantastic deal on the dining plan only using one TS credit. You'll love it!!!

Is always a must do for us we LOVE the Filet. :goodvibes :wizard: :wave2:

I guess I'm a minority. We just returned last night and was on the dining plan. We had 2 ressies for LeCellier for our group of 8. After we ate there the first time, no one wanted to eat there again for the second visit later in the vacation--so I canceled my second ressie. While the food was just OK, no one was wowed at all. The ones who got the cheese soup said they loved it, but they were not impressed with their meals. I had the fillet, while others had the prime rib, and 2 others had the surf and turf. Everyone pretty much agreed the food was good, but not the best they've ever had. So after taking a survey, I was surprised that everyone wanted to go back to Kona Cafe' for a second trip. We were very impressed with CRT/Dinner (and ate there twice too) and not wowed at all by the concourse steakhouse. I do have to note that the servers at all locations were absolutely wonderful and extremely helpful. We always left more than the 18% that the plan paid for and they were very appreciative that we did. We also did cash meals for our grandson and used the DDE card.

we got a strip steak ( everything else we got didn't make the latest menu cut) and it was very good. liked Brown Derby's better but they were both good

DH and I both really enjoyed the surf and turf and the kids' steaks were HUGE for kids and just as good as you would get for an adult. The breads were great (free refills, I'm ashamed to say my family of 4 ate 2 of each bread! and the butter is in the shape of spaceship earth, kinda cool) My cobbler was very good but I was too full to eat much. I forget what DH had. I think the kids' mousse was OK, looked cuter than it tasted.

LeCellier was our 2nd favorite dinner on the free dining. Tho we did not care for the breadsticks BUT we was not there to eat the bread. We didn't eat all the bread brought to our table any meal the week we was there that was not what we wanted to fill up on.

I really enjoyed my surf and turf grossed DH out a bit he can't stand the thought of lobster so he got the filet it was good but I enjoyed my surf and turf more.

What was your favorite dinner?

We have ADR's for lunch there....I'm pleased to hear all the positive reviews. Tell me more about the cheese soup....rumor has it that it contains onions...that would make me sad!

When we ate there with VKL vouchers, I always wound up eating one of the child's steaks since my kids eat little meat. They were very tasty and much better than you would expect for a kids' meal. We also liked the kids' desserts better than the adult ones we got.

I don't worry about anything else as long as they don't run out of the pretzel bread. I could make a meal of it!

We loved Le Cellier. I recommend the Asian Shrimp appetizer, and the apple cobbler for dessert.

We just got back last night. Loved LeCellier, no doubt the best meal we had. Actually we ate there two times.

We ate there last Sunday. It was delicious, but if we hadn't been on the Dining Plan, there is no way I would eat there. Our bill for the 8 of us (no alcohol and 4 were children eating as adults) was $500 before the tip.
The cheese soup was good, the pretzel bread was FANTASTIC! The shrimp cocktail was good but beware the coleslaw underneath - it's got wasabi in it!
The surf & turf was fine, but a couple of the lobster tails at our table were a little underdone. My son devoured the prime rib - it was perfectly cooked.
We could hardly eat dessert, but what I had of the chocolate cake was delicious and my sis-in-law loved the apple cobbler! She said it was the best dessert of the vacation.
