Looking to book on the Fantasy on deck 2. I have been on the Magic and the Wonder and always stay on deck 1 mid ship! I take meds and eat apples because I do get seasick! If you have stayed on deck 2 please tell me the good/bad.

One issue is that Disney, unfortunately, will not tell you what is below Deck 2. By not knowing, you are taking a gamble that there won't be something noisy below, such as the crew bar.

I stayed in 2500 (farthest forward room possible, starboard side) a couple weeks ago. I'm not sure what caused it, but there was a thumping noise almost all night, each night. It was once about every 10-15 seconds, and reminded me of a loose sliding closet door sliding back and forth and bonking the wall. I don't know if that's what it was, but that's the image I had in my head every time it happened. It kept me from sleeping easily. We had family in the connecting room so I could confirm it wasn't their closet.

Also, the elevators seemed to take forever to come down. I'm not sure what algorithm they run on, but it was quite a wait. This may actually have turned into a good thing for us because it really kept us to our "take the stairs!" mantra. In addition, once you did get on you stopped usually on decks 3 and 4 as well.

The nice thing was being able to walk right up the stairs to the Walt Disney theater, and be super close to the disembarkation points.

We stayed on Deck 2 on the Dream in 2516 (Cat. 9B) & LOVED it! No issues w/ noise or too much ship movement. Would definitely stay in that stateroom again.

HTHs!!!

We sailed in 2017 and 2019 and loved it. The Enchanted Garden takes up a good portion of Deck 2 so there are not many staterooms. We found the experience to be similar to Deck 2 on the Wonder and Magic and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

We stayed on Deck 2 on the Dream and LOVED it! Loved not having to rely on the elevator so much. No noise either!

We loved our cabins on the Dream mid-ship deck 2. In fact we booked the same cabins on the Fantasy for our cruise in 2 weeks. You are close to the restaurants, shops, & theater. I think deck 2 is a great location.

MUN

I'll be on Deck 2 on the Dream in November, glad you posted this! My only other experience was on deck 7 on the Wonder.

It would be useful if somebody compiled a list of which Deck 2 rooms are noisy and which ones are quiet, since Disney won't disclose what is below.

So far, we know:
Noisy: 2500
Quiet: 2017, 2019, 2516

We stayed in 2025 on the Fantasy and loved it!!! Very quiet, close to everything. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!

There is a place here on the boards where people can add their stateroom reviews. I used this often when booking our 2 cruises and only wish more people would take the time to enter reports on their staterooms! If you've sailed on a Disney Cruise, please take time to enter a stateroom review.
