I wonder how many other people experience recurring nightmares. Mine are not usually anything horrible. I do have awful nightmares sometimes--of the kids being kidnapped or something-- but the recurring ones are usually just weird things.

My most frequent nightmares:
1. I'm in the wrong house and there are strangers around
who might see me in my nightie (I had this nightmare
just last night and I actually got up in my sleep and put
shorts on under my nightgown--yes I know that is
weird! )

2. I'm back in college and it's finals week but I forgot
to attend any of my classes all semester so I'm desperately
trying to cram for my final exams.

3. Tornadoes are heading for my house (they never actually
hit my house in my nightmares but it's always scary and
there are usually 5 or 10 tornadoes)

4. I'm at WDW or Disneyland and when I get to the park gate
we don't have our tickets, or ALL the rides are being rehabbed,
or my family has taken so long to get ready in the morning
that we arrive just as the park is closing (yes I know,
 )

I get them a lot. Usually they involve different things that happened from the past.

I'm in high school and I've blown off classes for weeks and have no idea what I'm doing. Or else I completely forget my locker combination.

I also have a horrific one that my ex-boyfriend kidnaps me and I want to get away so bad and I can't. I actually wake up in a cold sweat and shaking during these. I wish they would stop. That relationship was a nightmare.:( And it was over 16 years ago.

I have a recurring nightmare about Scooby! Yes, scooby! He is actually very mean and nasty!!

He is always out to get us (I'm part of the gang!) and we are constantly running and dodging threats! Go figure!

That's close enough for me! LOL! I rarely remember my dreams...that's my peaceful time! Real life is another story...several nightmares going on there. :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

I have recurring nightmares about terrorist attacks - usually involving planes crashing, or bombs or missiles falling. This is actually a serious issue with me. I've lost sleep because of some of these nightmares.

I also have recurring themes of floods and tidal waves, probably because I'm generally overwhelmed with things to do. I frequently have dreams that I have to gather a bunch of things together quickly before something happens...a flood, a tornado, etc. The other night I dreamed I was at the airport, trying to gather a bunch of scattered belongings because it was time for our flight...when suddenly a plane crashed because of a terrorist attack.

And yes, I do have the "time for finals never been to class" dreams, and the "can't remember where my dorm room is" dreams, and lots of "the family took to long to get ready so we're late for Disney" dreams too. Those I can deal with!

For as long as I can remember, I have had different variations of dreams where my teeth are falling out.

Also, the plane crash theme.

I have two WDW related nightmares that I get all the time:

1. I am driving my Jungle Boat, I have a boat full of guests and I hit something in the water. The boat begins to flood and I look down, but the water is acctually deep...and I can't save my guests. Then the hippos come to life...but htey aren't real hippos, they are live animatronic hippos...talk about surreal.

2. I have this dream that I am in the former line area of 20,000 Leagues, after it had been turned in to the Character Meet and Greet. So anyways, I come up from the tunnels and I see a Mr. Smee costume in the corner, I'm curious so i put on the head....and it gets stuck..so here I am, late for work in the MK with Mr. Smees head stuck on..then someone opens the meet and greet and I am surrounded by kids who think nothing of the fact that I am only wearing the head...talk about messed up dreams.

When I have somethin important to do the next morning, I always dream that I wake up late or the thing I am looking forward to ends up being a bust. and it always seems so real!

Anywho...I know tonight I will have nightmares about missing my cardinals game tomorrow! hence the reason I am up to darn late.

Jungle Josh

I don't know why, but I always dream that the end of the world is here. There's always some kind of a war involved and even though I no longer live there it's usually happening while I'm at my parents house and I'm always trying to protect my son. Even though he's almost 6 years old I always dream that he's a baby. Wether it be a missile or weird asteroids there always seems to be something fiery coming out of the sky.

I always have such strange and vivid dreams. I always tell my friends what I dream about because they find them very entertaining. I once even dreamt that one of my friends were having an affair with another friend's husband and it turned out to be true. You should have seen the look on my cheating friend's face when I told her about my dream...hehe. I had no idea it was true at the time!

I wouldn't call it a nightmare, but I often dream that I'm at WDW but nothing is where it is supposed to be. Sometimes I'm riding a new ride.

The teeth falling out dream, and the haven't been to class all semester are pretty common for a lot of people.:D

1. The usual "in college, have an exam, didn't study"

2. I'm in the house I grew up in (parents sold it about 18 mths ago) and various evil things are trying to get in to hurt me (example: the mafia, vicious dogs, evil cherubs: YES< cherubs!)

3. Walking a long a very narrow edge of a very high mountain

4. Trying to tell people something important and everyone ignores me (for example, the house is on fire).

I am always placing a phone call ( usually an emergency call ) and all the digits go through while placing the phone calls except the last one, the call never goes through, LOL.

I have that one all the time! Didya know the Haunted Mansion is actually a boat ride ;) And Space Mt is underground, you have to crawl through this looooong tunnel to get to it.

I actually never had this nightmare until I was ABD and putting off my dissertation. Thankfully, I haven't had it once since I defended! Growing up, I often dreamed of my teeth falling out.

It is interesting how so many of us have had nightmares with similar content!

I call them my "water" dreams but many times I have dreams of floods or waves. I don't necessarily drown in these dreams....I'm just surrounded by water. I just had one the other night!

Lets see... I have the teeth dream but it's not that they are falling out, just that they are breaking up into pieces

Then there is the school dream except it isn't that I haven't been to class, I just don't know what class I'm supposed to go to. I've lost my schedule and even though I should know which class to go to since I've done it before, I can't remember. Then I forget the locker combination and can't get my books out.

Then there was the one a while back where we were in the commons area of my Jr. High School and it was WW3 and we were fighting against the Russians and both sides were using squirt guns and bb guns

anyone analyze dreams?

I used to have one when I was a kid, so often that I still remember it.

My parents would drive me down a dark street and then leave me next to a wall, and there was a wolf behind the wall, and each time I dreamt it, the wolf would get closer and closer till finally I saw him. But after that I never dreamed about it again.

I keep having dreams where we are getting air bombed by the Iraqis. I am always in a different place though, sometimes a field, sometimes Disneyland. Sucks :(
