Tell Me About Your iPHONE 4 CASE

I have the otterbox defender which is silicone. I've dropped it, it has been wet, and I left it on the roof of my car. The silicone kept it in place! I had the same for my 3s also. No bulk, and friction. :)

I also have an Otterbox. It has kept my phone safe for the last year, and I have dropped it a lot. I like the screen protector too, it is part of the case, so you don't have to stick it on separately. Well worth the $50 bucks it costs. Don't buy a bargain priced one though, there are lots of fake ones that don't work as well. If it doesn't cost $40-$50 it's probably fake.

I 2nd the Otterbox defender case.

I just got my dd the iPhone 4, and got her the case. It is nice, sturdy & easy. with a soft layer and a hard layer. For us the Defender case was just too much bulk.

We did make an adjustment to the soft layer. It had a flap to cover the charger hole, but this meant it wouldn't mount on the dock. So I took an exact knife to that. Cut it so smooth it looks like it was made that way!

I have a cheapy clear rubber case in my iPhone. It's kept it protected all these years but has yellowed with age. I am tempted to get an otter box commuter too because it looks so sharp! Since mine has a case already I will wait to see if the price drops now that everyone is abandoning 4 & 4s for the 5.

I had an Otterbox and liked it but It adds a significant amount of bulkiness. I wear scrubs during the day and have to carry my cell phone with me so I use a holster. When the rubber started stretching out on my OtterBox, I looked for thinner alternatives. I got a Lifeproof case and holster a few months ago. It is perfect for me: it is much less bulky but still adds great protection. The waterproof protection is not something I've ever tested since I never submerge my phone anyway.

I then got an adapter so I can plug my phone into an iHome. Overall, the Lifeproof system is much more expensive. But it was worth it to me and the OtterBox bulkiness was a big issue.

thanks. I was leaning towards either the commuter or defender. I think I like the defender better but a little concerned about the bulk . . . .

I looked at the Lifeproof case online. Will I need an adapter for a regular plug in (not iHome)? What about for the earbuds? Is the adapter really necessary?

I knew I didn't want a defender case because of the bulk and weight of it.

I use an Incipio Stowaway ( http://amzn.com/B005WALBYW ).

Best case ever! It holds my ID, debit card and insurance card. It's not too bulky but has protected my phone from a few accidental drops. I get soo many compliments on it from cashiers, everyone always want to know where I got it. :)

I have the otter box defender. I have actually thrown it on cement to demonstrate. Lol.
I have had it for a year works perfectly and so does the phone
Bought DD life proof. She has taken another phone swimming so I wanted to make sure this phone was WELL protected.
Life proof is thinner and she loves it. That one came with all the necessities and was included with the price of 65 (I believe)
My otter box was bought on amazon and I certainly didn't pay 50 to 60 for it I paid around 40 they have great deals and it's protected by amazon policy.
Bought other DD. otterbox too and her rubber holder just wore away. Otter box replaced for free. That too was bought on amazon at around 40

DD has the Morphie Juice Pack Air. It's a rechargeable case so if she is getting down to low power she can turn the case on and recharge her phone. She LOVES it.

another vote for the otterbox defender. a few family members have the lifeproof case but I think it's easier to grip the otterbox.

I have a different color but this is the case I have on my iPhone4S (also works for the iPhone4). It was not very expensive, it is not bulky and is very light.

I drop my phone all the time and have even dropped it screen down onto concrete and this case has done a wonderful job protecting my phone. The case it self shows signs of being dropped, the phone still looks brand new without a scratch on it.

Not sure why it didn't keep the link the first time but I'll try it again

OtterBox Defender for me... it has survived drops on parking lots, tile floors, hardwood floors etc... They may be a bit bulky, but really saved my phone on several occasions.

iPhone users:

Which case do you use? What do you like about it?

I have the Otterbox Defender.

I get a discount on my phone plan and I got the Otterbox for 50% off under my plan through AT&T.

I got a commuter first, now I have a defender. IMHO, the defender is crazy bulky, but you forget after awhile, lol. I remember when I first got my phone and then got the commuter, I thought "this is crazy bulky!" and then promptly forgot about it. Then I got a defender because 1)it was a good deal and I didn't like the color of my commuter and 2) my kids play games, watch you tube, etc on my phone all the time and I didn't want it getting messed up. I still think it's huge, but worth it that I know that there is almost no way of it breaking. It's been thrown, dropped down stairs, spilled with water, etc.

Mophie Juice pack...and I love it! It is an external battery pack that is convenient to use and protects my phone. There is no need to take it out of the case to charge it every night as the it comes with a charger that charges both the Mophie pack and the Iphone battery at the same time. It doubles the life of my battery, which doesn't matter as much in every day use but is great to have while on vacation (taking pictures or using travel apps) or any time that I am on my phone a lot. When my Iphone battery runs downs, I simply flip the switch and the Mophie recharges my phone battery in less than an hour. I can still use the phone during the recharging process.
The case looks good (I have a red one, so my phone looks a bit "Disney") and I have dropped my phone a couple of times and the Mophie has offered excellent protection. I paid $50 for it...well worth it! My husband just ordered one for his phone. :goodvibes
