I have 2 young DD's, currently ages 5 and 7. DBF and I are trying to plan a trip (their first trip to WDW) for June/July 2009. Yes, I know it will be hot and miserable, but school schedules just won't allow for any other time really.
Anyway, they will be 9 and 7 when we go and I checked out buzz's unofficial thread yesterday and I'm very intrigued with the resort and think it might be a great place to stay. The other thing is, DBF's parents may join us on this trip and they sometimes have a hard time walking long distances, so I like the idea of the internal shuttle (golf cart) that you can utilize.
What I'm curious about are activities for the kids. I know Pop and ASMO are more decorated and colorful for young kids, but I gotta say, after DBF and I staying in a standard room at Pop this past September, I'm just not seeing it with the 2 kids. We were tripping over each other and putting the kids in there too... no! His parents, if they join us, will be in a separate room, and may not join us for the entire trip, so my real question is what is there to do for the kids? I head something about a "dig" and I saw they have a waterslide. Just interested to hear your personal experiences if you've stayed there with kids.
Thanks!
