Need one more table service and already have all our favs lined up. Thinking of Y & Y, but haven't heard much about it. :confused3

Opinions, experiences, complaints....please!:surfweb:

TIA

Most people on here like it. We do not. We have eaten here twice. Servings are huge. We had different appetizers and entrees on both visits and were not impressed. I prefer PF Changs if I'm going to eat chain food.

I'm interested too. I'm trying to decide between Yak & Yeti and 50s Prime Time for a last TS lunch. The menu at Y&Y appeals to me a lot more, but I'm really interested in the theming at 50s Prime Time.

Yum we love both. Y&Y are must do's for us. We usually get a couple apps and an entree and we just split it up since there's so much food.

At 50's PT, DH loves the fried chicken and I love the pot roast.

We loved Y&Y and also 50's Prime time. The serving sizes were generous at both places. We were on the DxDP so we had app, entree & dessert. DS was 5 and he was able to order an app. and dessert from the main menu. (I think that was due to the fact that Disney does not own Y&Y). We like it so much we ate there on our last day also,we walked up and were seated right away, did have ressies for the first day.

50's Prime time was homestyle confort food and it was good.

We love Yak and Yeti. Love the atmosphere there. Our favorite dessert is a kabob that has cream cheese wontons and strawberries! Yum! We have reservations again for our next trip.

We like Yak and Yeti. We always find something different to try when we go there and we love there shorbet dessert plate. Yum and refreshing! We have enjoyed our food there each time we go.

On our last 9 day trip, we ate at a TS every day and Y&Y was one of the ones we put on our must return list. The food was great, good portions, and the desserts were awesome. The service was very good, fast, and the straws are really cool (silly side note, but it was still cool). The atmosphere was very good too, a fun new place. I would definitely go back.

Also, family friendly and lots of room for larger tables, if you need that.

I also really enjoyed Yak & Yeti.

Ate there just last week.

I ordered the Maple Tamarind Chicken. It was hot and tasty!
For dessert, I had the fried wontons which were awesome!

I would absolutely eat there again.

My family did not like Yak and Yeti. I was really excited to eat there after reading all the good reviews. I ended up being very disappointed especially in the food quality. My honey chicken tasted like frozen chicken nuggets with a thick, sticky sauce poured over it. It was just yucky!

One positive was the wonton dessert. It was truly amazing.

We love Yak and Yeti! Too many good items on the menu, so it's hard to choose. But I really enjoyed the potstickers and the wok fried green beans. The variety was great and even our pickiest eater found things he liked on the kids' menu. Fun atmosphere and quick service, too.

We also enjoy 50's Prime Time and both the chicken pot pie and the wedge salad are some of my favorites. But the service can be hit or miss. We had a great waiter last summer who was really into the act and in character - he was funny and we were entirely comfortable! Service was also quick and very efficient! When we returned to 50's earlier this month, service was very slow and the waiter made our boys very uncomfortable. We'll go back, but it's not at the top of our list.

We were at the Yak & Yeti in September and personally I really enjoyed it, my boyfriend didn't but he's a notoriously fussy eater. He had the honey chicken, i had the sweet and sour mahi mahi which was a huge portion and delicious (first time i'd ever tried it so it might sway me a little). Their chocolate cake was to die for as well.

I think it's worth a look if you're thinking about it. The staff are very friendly, our waitress was quite taken with the fact we were scottish and it was one of the best experiences we had.

We have always enjoyed Yak & Yeti. The portions are pretty good and I love the atmosphere.

I think we've had 3 maybe 4 meals at Y&Y. We've always had good quality and good service. I love the green beans and the mango pie. I've had several different entrees that were all good as well.

Dined at Yak and Yeti (table service) Dec. 2010 and Oct. 2009. Had a great meal both times. In Dec., the Malaysian seafood curry was so incredibly delicious.... one of the best dishes I've had in all of Disney World.

More details and photos in my review -- link below.

Thank you for all of the responses. Helps a lot. The latest ressie is pretty early, though, due to early park closing right?

I had the miso crusted salmon last Dec and it was the best salmon I've had in my life (and I'm a big salmon fan!) - it was AMAZING!! The theming of the restaurant is great and the cream cheese wantons are super yummy. I recommend it and I think we'll be making a return trip on our next visit!

We have eaten there in 2009 and 2010, and both times was great! We are going back in April. I think its def a good choice if you are in AK, but I don't think I would go out of my way to go there. The food is tasty, their ice teas are good, and desserts are awesome. You should at least try it!

Made my ressie today! Only problem (if you want to call it that) is that I'm sure hubby will complain that we will be eating an Asian meal the next night as well, at Teppan Eddo. Wasn't planned that way, but had to shift things since Ohana was already getting booked up by 8am this morning!
