Ok, don't flame me or anything but it's just fireworks, right?

Whenever we go to MK and they happen to have fireworks, we never made a special effort to "view" the fireworks, we just continued with our evening and when they started, we just stopped where we were and looked. No, we may not have had the best spot in the place but we saw them and continued touring.

We've seen the fireworks that they had before Fantasy in the Sky and we've seen Fantasy in the Sky. Is Wishes really any different? We like fireworks but don't have any all consuming need to go out of our way to watch them. If we see them, we see them, if not, then we don't.

So, am I making a mistake in not "planning" to see the fireworks?

You must see "Wishes" from beginning to end in order to fully appreciate it. It can not be experienced as you walk around the park. So stake out a good spot and enjoy the "magic"!!!::MinnieMo

One word: WOW!!!

Don't miss it!

Wishes is very different than Fantasy in the Sky. It's more of a show like Illuminations. Many of the fireworks shoot up right next to the castle so the best spot is facing the castle.

There's a video on the homepage of this site:

Please don't flame me either, but what makes Wishes different? We've never gone out of our way to see fireworks either (although we really enjoyed the ones we could watch from our WL balcony :D ). Why is Wishes different? Is there something besides the fireworks?

DebbieB,

Thanks for the link to the video. I just watched it...It's definitely not just fireworks! Now I see why everyone talks so much about this one.

It is fireworks with a synchronized story and music. It is basicly a new tyhpe of fairytale one for the eyes and ears. Fireworks with Disney magic added, gotta love it.

BIGGER, BETTER, TWICE AS LONG.

That doesn't mean you'll like it, but people who like fireworks will find it much more impressive that previous fireworks..

We just got back yesterday, and saw it twice.. once from the bridge to Tomorrow land and once from O'Hanas. It was spectacular! Seeing from 2 different vantage points was great. The up close was wonderful, Tink flew practicaly right above us, I love the smell of fireworks, but it was a little difficult to hear the music and dialogue. From O'Hanas you get to see the whole picture. There were things I missed seeing it up close. I was able to hear the music better, and follow the "story line" closer. Either way, this is a not to miss attraction!!

We were just there three weeks ago and decided to stay for Wishes. We usually left early to avoid the crowds. All I can say is WOW! I cried at the end:blush:. Since we have been back I have watched the video at least a dozen times.

The one thing I was dissappointed over was no Tinkerbell. I kept telling DD's to watch for her, but it never happened. Are there times when Tinkerbell can't fly down or am I missing something?

Great show though! Do not miss!!

I was somewhat dissapointed too, because I had expected Tinkerbelle to fly out. But that didn't happen, and to me it just seemed like a fireworks show.

However it was foggy and misty the night I saw it, so I think much of the show was obscured by fog and bad weather.

Yes, there ARE times when Tink does not make her flight. Also,
she appears at the very beginning and it all happens quickly. If you blink, or you are in a bad location you may miss her.:)

I've seen it 3 times and Tink flew each time. She doesn't fly in storms or high winds.

We stood right under Tinkerbell when she flew from the castle....what's really sad is, all of these years, I had always thought it was a doll that flew down, NOT a real person! My daughter was soooo excited to see her. :)

I zoomed in on Tinkerbell on my DVD version of Wishes. Anybody wants a copy of this DVD, please PM me directly. This is a home movie recorded on D8 format at slower shutter speed (to get all the colours in their full glory).

note: I'm making ZERO profit should anybody wants a DVD copy of the recording (and/or the remastered audio CD extracted from the DVD). Please don't see this post as a for-sale troll.
