Tell me about Vero Beach

We are owners at OKW & are considering a trip to Vero Beach this November.

I would like as much information as possible on Vero............

--How far from Orlando is it?
--What is the resort like?
--Entertainment for kids?
--Entertainment for adults?
--How large are the accommodations? (we are used to OKW size)
--Restaurants?
--How difficult would it be to plan a last minute trip to Vero for November? (last minute as in a few months prior).

-It's a little over two hours driving from Orlando to VB... We've actually stayed at VB before and driven up to WDW for a day at the MK.

-The resort is NICE... Very laid back... If you are an OKW owner, I think you will enjoy the ambiance of VB..

-Kids Entertainment: 2DC is very popular depending on the age of your kids... Unbirthday party... SnorkelEARS.. Pool.. Pizza night... Campfire.. Minigolf..

-Adult Entertainment: Lounge singers at the Green Cabin Room... Poolside massages.. Tour of the gardens... Naturalist tour of the beaches... Jet skiing... Bike rental...

- I haven't stayed at OKW to make a fair comparison.. (I'm going to be there in 3 months though.. ) But, I believe that they are the same size as OKW's... The kitchen is on an 45 degree angle, and the island doubles as the entertainment center for the living room... This matches up with every picture I have seen of OKW's 1BR & 2 BR's... I can say with certainity that the kitchen is much bigger than BWV...

-Restaurents:
--Onsite: Sonya's (Slightly upscale, but still good with kids..), Shutter's (Family restaurent), the Green Cabin Room (Bar/Lounge that servers lunch ), and Bleachers (Counter service with basics... Pizza, Chicken tenders, etc..)
--Offsite: Capt. Hirams and the Ocean Grill are two favorites..

VB is a great resort. We loved our trip there in Feb. Sun, Waves, Pool. Ahhhh. Who needs more?
