Tell me about V&A's Queen Victoria Room...

This morning I was doing my usual thing of seeing what reservations are out there (because I'm never happy unless I'm changing our plans lol) and there was a reservation for V&A's Queen Victoria Room which I quickly snagged. I consider myself a foodie, but my husband not so much. He's pretty picky, hates mushrooms, hates onions, hates tomatoes.... And so on. He'll try pretty much any meat, it just seems to be the vegetables that he has an issue with lol. So I'd like to know a little more about it before I try and convince him that we just have to do this. I love the idea of dressing up and having a date night and eating fancy food in a romantic setting, and he loves dressing up as well, I'm just afraid he's not going to like any of the food. Any pictures or reviews you'd like to share would be greatly appreciated! I'd like to know about the whole experience including before you get there. I believe I read somewhere they contact you prior to your reservation to go over some things?

Also, we'll need a sitter and I am considering using Kids Nite Out. Any reviews/thoughts/experiences with them are appreciated as well!

TIA!!! :-)

JUST IN CASE - and I'm sure you looked this data up, ahead of time....

Please, DO be aware that dinner for a party of 2 In the V&A QV room is likely to run about $800. And please forgive me if I am off base.... just did NOT want to see you surprised :). V&A also has a general dress code - and they are very serious about it. V&A accepts NO Dining plans - not DDP, not TIW. Please, DO see the V&A Website at ....

This is a really STUNNING Restaurant. It is rated as the #2 best restaurant in the United States, by TripAdvisor. We have found that it lives up to it's rating, and then some:).

We went to the main dining room at Q&A a few years back and when they phoned a few days prior I told them no mushrooms or seafood for me and no tomatoes for hubby :) they tailored the menu to suit us and it was awesome!
