It's a good thing we are at SIL's house, so I can see this thread. We are in Seattle for the weekend.

There are pictures of Sulley. I posted a link in the Surprise Swap thread, because that is what I originally made him for, but then I figured out how to use him in SIOH's book.

I also used flock on the Santa hats, but I don't think it shows up too well in the pictures.

These are the first two times I ever used the flock, so I am not a flock expert. I used Fun Flock, and it was really fun, although messy. But now that I know I like it, I will probably get the Doodlebug flock set. It is really easy to use.

For the santa hats, I cut the pieces out of white cardstock, then I ran them through my Xyron, so that the adhesive would stick to the front side of the paper. Then I used the tweezers from the Making Memories tool kit to put little piles of flock on the paper. I spread it out a bit with the tweezers but then I just used my finger. I used the top of the MM tool kit tin as a work space. I tapped the pieces to remove the excess flock, and then what was left in the tin, went back in the container.

Same thing basically with Sully, although with the turquoise flock on the base piece of cardstock, I had to make sure I had all the pieces ready to assemble. So I did the flocking on the purple spots first. Then I ran the turquoise paper through the Xyron, so the adhesive would be on the front side. Put all the other pieces in the correct position, then I used tweezers to apply the flock and my fingers to spread. Tap to remove the excess and then it's done.

Using the Xyron definitely worked. I had a couple super tiny purple spots that I used a zigpen on, and it was very messy and awkward.

OMG! I'm so putting FLOCK on my list of must haves.. now to find somewhere that carries it or go ahead and order it online...and find something else to do while I wait... :)

I guess this puts me on the FLOCK ban-wagon!!

FUN FLOCK

How do I use Fun Flock?

Fun Flock can be applied by covering the area to be flocked with a double sided adhesive sheet, such as Peel N' Stick. Cover the entire area with flock, pressing or brayering in for even coverage. You can then stamp the surface, cut out or punch out. Use double-sided tapes or adhesive applicators to add stripes and borders. Apply flock to the sticky side of Class A'Peels™ stickers to make fuzzy shapes.

Fun Flock may also be applied by using Dimensional Magic or glue on the areas to be flocked. Sprinkle Fun Flock generously over and tap off excess. Set aside to allow Dimensional Magic/glue to dry, then brush away excess flock. When using multiple colors on one project, work from darkest colors to the lightest.

How can I flock a stamped image?

Stamp the image using a pigment ink (such as VersaMark by Tsukineko) and sprinkle with Stamp N' Bond embossing powder. Use a heat tool to melt the powder just until it starts to turn shiny and immediately pour flocking over the surface. Pressing the flock into the adhesive will give better coverage. Brush away excess.

Hope, I love Sully, he's adorable! Thanks for sharing!
