I"m curious how the rope drop works at the Magic Kingdom during the Extra Magic Hour. Do they just drop it or I heard a rumor that it was more of a "rolling stroll" towards space mountain.

Can anyone fill me in?

When were there in May there was no rope drop. At exactly 8am they started letting folks through the turnstyles. Right before the opening Mickey was there putting on a little show. No rope drop.

Ever see the running of the bulls on tv?:p

Im just kidding there isnt a rope drop at the main entrance.
Certain lands i forget which i think
Adventureland
Toontown
and shoot there is a third i cant remember which but they open a little later. At least thats what happend last Sunday when i was there.

There were no rope drops in the MK at EMH in May. We were all let in through the turnstyles at 8am sharp, not a minute earlier. We proceeeded to go to Fantasyland and could see no rope drops at the other land. Since no one was allowed through the turnstyles any earlier then opening then there would be no rope drops as the park would then be open to EMH.

Edited to add: I see what you are saying Horizons. I forgot about the later opening of Adventureland. I guess I didn't count it because it opens later every day and not just at EMH.
