Tell me about the Mummy

The biggest drop on the Mummy is like 1/3 the size of the big drop on Everest,the dark environment with fog just makes it seem like a bigger drop.If I had to rank the other coasters with indoor sections based on intensity I would rank Mummy as the least intense,it's a super fun ride and probably tops if I ranked them based on how much I like them.

I appreciate your opinion - but I have ridden them both. My opinion is that the drop on Mummy is more steep and less pleasant. Not saying you're wrong. Just saying I'm not wrong either.

That's so interesting that you find EE easier to ride than Mummy. EE makes me nauseous. I don't know what exactly it is but it is one of the few coasters that makes me physically sick to my stomach.

I have to agree,the backwards part on Everest and the pretzel loop on B&M flyers like Manta at Sea World are two maneuvers I just don't enjoy.The pretzel loop is just a forceful high g sensation but the backwards part in Everest doesn't really make me sick,but leaves me a bit dizzy.

Well, Mummy made me physically sick. Literally... like lucky I made it to a trash can in time. Maybe I should give it another chance. I just remember that drop after to false stop totally killing me. It seemed like it was straight down!

It is funny. I avoided EE for years but when I finally rode I didn't get that stomach in my throat feeling from the drop. I can take anything but that. The backwards part didn't bug me a bit. But I can also ride Mission Space all day long without any trouble. It is frustrating - all this stuff I can do but if you drop me my tummy is done!

Anyway - back to the OP. Didn't mean to hijack the thread.

It is a great ride it is more like RnR than Everest.My mom hates big roller coasters like RnR, but she loved the Mummy. It does not go upside-down, but it does go backwards.

I consider the Mummy a pretty mild roller coaster - It is just in the dark... And it is not JUST a coaster - great theming.
I consider it the Lays Potato Chip of Coasters - I cannot have just one - I have to ride it more than once - I have to get RIGHT back in line and do it again. My only complaint would be is that it is too short!

I've actually had the pleasure of standing next to "The pit of Hell" after the fake unload. That drop is actually a lot steeper than it looks. It's got to be a good 75 degree angle.

It's one of my favourite attractions in the Oralndo area. If you can handle RnR, then this shouldn't be a problem at all. The themeing in the Mummy is way better than anything I've ever experienced.

Definitely one of the best rides there! It is my DD's (7) absolute favorite there! I'd say it's a cross between RNRC and EE.

ROTM is one of my favourite rides at UO. It really is quite an intense ride, there is one part that really does give quality air time. It's also a real hoot and a holler, especially when the soundtrack keeps on with the "your souls!" stuff.

Going back in two weeks time and this will be the first thing we ride!

OMG I thought I was the only one to get nauseous on EE! My daughter and husband were able to ride EE several times but after just one ride I was DONE!!! I am usually very good with coasters, I do TERRIBLE with rides that spin, never been on the tea cups @ WDW! Can't even LOOK at them without getting sick ! I always carry Antivert with me but after EE was the only time I took it. I like RnR but HATE that launch....I feel like I can't breath and just keep repeating over and over that "you're OK, it will be over soon" I usually only ride that one for my daughter. I can't let her go on alone (not that me being there makes her any safer but I hold her as best I can). The first time I took my DD on SM she was laughing so hard at the end she couldn't stand up. The CM's came running over because they thought something was wrong but when they saw her lauhging everyone joined in and laughed too . We just LOVE SM and think it is pretty tame so it sounds like I will LOVE Mummy ♥.
