I just read about the new paintbrush and updated magic ears.
They both sound fun!
1) Where can you buy them?
2) Do BOTH work for all of the nighttime shows?
3) What is the cost?
4) Do they light up when the shows are not playing?
5) Any other info?

Thanks tons!

There is a video in the Disney Blog about them. They are about $25 each, according to the video. It should answer some of the questions. I like the idea but I an ot sure I want to spend $50 to get a brush and hat.

1) Where can you buy them?
Pretty much anywhere that sells the Made with Magic merchandise (e.g., Emporium, Showcase, Elias & Co, etc.). They were very readily available in the parks.

2) Do BOTH work for all of the nighttime shows?
I would assume they work with the same shows that Glow with the Show hats worked with. I saw guests with them at Paint the Night and Disneyland Forever fireworks. I would assume they also interact with WoC and Mad T Party. I am not sure about F!.

3) What is the cost?
They cost $23.15 plus tax (so a nice even $25 if you're buying them from the outdoor vending kiosks). If you buy them in a shop, then AP, DVC, and Disney Visa discounts apply.

4) Do they light up when the shows are not playing?
Yes, they cycle through the colors. You can also purchase the Made with Magic wand to control the colors.

5) Any other info?
The Paint Brush is less intrusive to guests around you than the bow or hat. I would try on the hat before purchasing it because you will not be able to see the effects (because the hat is on your head) and it's heavier/clunkier than the normal hat (because of the battery packs).

My wife and I have the 60th Ear hats and we wore them during the 24 hr event. I really wish more people would embrace them. I would love to watch WoC or Fireworks with a sea of hats flashing in sequence (This is just my opinion).

I think it's a matter of critical mass...I like watching it when there are a "sea" of hats, but when it's just one or two it is more annoying than magical.
