I am all about chocolate. So regale me with tales of the Ganachery at Disney Springs so I can be sure to put it on our to do list for our trip in 2 weeks. On a related note, just watched the DIS video review of Toothsome Chocolate Emporium at USO...and :faint:

I really enjoyed The Ganachery last December and plan on bringing more treats home when I return in October. Everything I tried was good. The chocolate Mickey on a stick that is chocolate covered strawberry flavored is particularly sticking out in my mind right now.

I thought the Ganachery is one of the new shops at Disney Springs. Or maybe it just moved to a new location at Disney Springs? I am planning to go on one of our night at DS and bring back some chocolate to keep at our room. I love, love. love, orange and dark chocolate together!!

It's a pretty small store but the boxed chocolates (you select the flavors you want) are amazing (albeit pricey). I specifically remember one with raspberry and one with sea salt that were delicious. They wrap them beautifully as well. In this heat, have to be careful to get as you're leaving... carrying around with you all day won't end well. Definitely check it out. There's also the new bakery that also serves champagne...

I am not a big chocolate person, but I LOVED The Ganachery! It's a must do for me now as long as it's open. A bit on the pricey side...but great for a post meal treat since you can buy individual pieces, or a little splurge. We stopped in after dinner one night, and my SIL and I split a box of 6 so that we each got to choose 3...and I ended up going back before our trip was over for another box and calling it my anniversary present. lol Luckily not all of the flavors appealed to me, so I was able to have self restraint and not go too crazy. But I tried the chipotle pepper, mint, pistachio, coffee, and hazelnut flavors...all delicious, however the chipotle was my favorite!

We went when it opened a while back & the store is so small that there was a line to get in. They would only take 5-7 people in at a time & did a bit of a narrated tour outlining the chef & how the chocolate is made. They had some prepackaged items (maybe a selection of 4-5) & then the "make your own box" counter. The counter had I think 9 or so different flavors. It was very busy but organized. I did think it was a little weird that the chef was standing behind everyone watching them load the boxes very protectively. While the chocolate itself was excellent, I really don't know that I'd go again, especially if there's a wait. The selection is just limited & there wasn't a flavor combination that I LOVED, plus it was VERY expensive.
