Tell me about Thanksgiving at OKW

I've just switched reservations we couldn't make in August to Sunday through Tuesday of Thanksgiving week (waitlisted for that Wednesday and Thanksgiving day) for a studio at OKW - wish me luck! Has anyone here ever stayed at OKW for the Thanksgiving week? How were the crowds? What did you do for dinner for Thanksgiving if you were in a studio? If anyone can let me know of your past experiences that would be great!

HeatherPaige, I say your posts. We'll be there too, in two studios as this is an "extra" trip and we are SO out of points... Anyhow, I am not messing with a "take-in" turkey meal although folks here have posted that the local groceries offer this. I think it would be hard to manage in a studio, though -- the table is tiny! Mark your calendar -- as best I can figure, this July 30th is the first day to make reservations for Thanksgiving Day if you want a resort restaurant. I think we are going to do Boma; it's my family's favorite -- we don't care if there's no turkey because it is SO good. If you want a more traditional meal, I bet that Olivia's -- right at OKW -- will do something nice for Thanksgiving.

Duh! I didn't even think of Olivia's, I guess because I've never stayed at OKW and never eaten there. That would probably be the best bet as my mother in law may be there and we won't be doing any parks that day. Have a great time too!
