Tell me about Star Tours

It really depends on your kids. It's very loud, as all movies are. I think if your kids are fine in most regular movies in a movie theater, they would be fine on ST. It's really just a movie with some motion and 3D glasses.

Are they ok with loud and bumpy? I always feel like (since I'm strapped in) I'm being jerked and bounced around. But it is one of my favorites (and I'm really not a ride person - can't do roller coasters). But if they like star wars they will love it. Anyone remember Body Wars? It was the same kind of ride. I was fine on star tours but body wars made me sick - I had to stare at the exit sign the whole time.

It's not scary and the fun thing is it is usually different each time you ride. Motion is much more of an issue with Star Tours than scary...some react to it and after doing it about twice, I'm ready to move on to something else.

We went on Star Tours 3 times and all 3 times there were many small children who all seemed to enjoy it.

Definitely one of DD8's favorite rides since she was 4 or 5. And she has never seen any Star Wars movies. On a EMH we ride it 5x in a row one night since the experience changes. One time there were only 2 other people in the entire vehicle...and the poor kids still wasn't chosen as the rebel spy!

I would only suggest skipping it if your child gets motion sick. I'm moderately prone to motion sickness and Star Tours gets me every time. DH really loves it, so I ride with him and just shut my eyes to keep from getting sick.

We've had the same experience as many of the posters - my 6 year old daughter has never seen Star Wars so I was a bit concerned. She screamed her head off the whole time and the second it ended she said "can we do it again!" We rode 3 times - she loved it
