please share your experiances good or bad, we have reservations set for Aug, but am really worried after reading comments here...hopefully more recent experiances will shed a better light
thanks in advance

We'd also be interested in hearing other's experiences with the Spirit of Aloha dinner - we have a reservation for our upcoming trip in October.

I'm most curious about the food that's served. I read on another post that they were served chicken legs and ribs. Any possibility of chicken breast? I'm definitely not a leg kind of gal. :)

My family has been twice. Once when the show was new and again last summer. I have mixed feelings about the show. I definitely liked the old show better. The story line of the new show is just a little too hokey for my family. At the end it switches back to some fabulous dancing. The kids especially loved the fire dancing. We went a second time, because we were traveling with a large group and this was a group outing. The food is good. We ate plenty of pineapple and the bread was too die for. I doubt that we will go again, unless the show revamps itself again. I do believe that it is an entertaining experience and worth the money for dinner and a show. If you have reservations, I would keep them and go with an open mind. We really did enjoy certain parts of the show.

Our family enjoyed the luau, but not nearly as much as the Hoop De Doo. We felt the story line at the luau dragged through much of the show. (The fire dancing was great). I would have been more disappointed if we had paid for it. The free dining plan made it easier to swallow. The food was good and our server was wonderful, but overall I thought the experience was only barely worth the money or the 2 dining credits.
