Tell me about S/D Teacher Rate

OK. I am a certified NYS Teacher Assistant (I have the license to prove it) but am not currently working as one. If I show this license to the people at the desk when I check-in is that enough to get the teacher discount?

I am also a AAA member and was looking into the S/D for 5 nights this summer (July or Aug) but the AAA rate is still kind of high for my budget. Then I remembered about my TA license and wasn't sure if I could use that. Does anyone know?

Not trying to 'swindle' anyone, just want to use all of my assets(sp?) to get the best deal I can...
