We are thinking of trying this for the first time. Tell me the good, the bad and if there is any - the ugly. ;)

Tried it out for the first time in August and seemed like an okay place to me. Dessert was better than the main course but nothing that really jumped out at me.

I have never been there but I had a friend who came back 3 weeks ago. She said "don't do it. service was very slow and food was so-so."

We've done it our last two trips, and really enjoyed the food. The server we had the second time was the worst server we've ever had at WDW at any restaurant, but we all still liked our food.

We sat outside on the lower patio right on the water this most recent time. I've enjoyed the fish n chips there both times, DW likes the pot roast.

We're doing it again on our next trip, too.

We are trying it for the first time next week! I will be sure to report back with our experience :)

Oddly enough, I chose this restaurant in 2006 for my wedding rehearsal dinner local! I have also sat on the patio and watched Illuninations. We think the food is great and it's another Disney experience that we like to experience again and again!:lovestruc

Amazing viewing of Illuminations and that was it. We have eaten there three times- the first time we ordered four fish and chips and it was not cooked when we got it (the fish was too chunky to fry at that temperature and cook the fish without buring the batter- so we got great looking, but raw, fish).

The second time we were made to wait well over an hour for any seat as people were rufusing to give up their seats after having finished over an hour before (and the staff told us this but refused to do move people on after they had finished) as they wanted to see Illuminations and we just wanted fed. After enough fuss and 90 mins later they found us a wonderful seat.

This last time, we didn't let it go past an hour before started to question our waiting time. We were again found seats, but the fish was awful and we decided that 3 outta 3 bad equals the restaurant not getting another chance.

The steak was great there (but I wanted proper fish and chips) and the desserts are also great.

Rose & Crown was the biggest surprise of our trip last December. I thought I would hate it...our friends chose it. It ended up being among the best places I have eaten at WDW on any trip. I got the steak and fish and WOW! I normally do not like fish, but I ate everything on my plate. The potato and leek soup was awesome as well.

I recommend you try it!

We enjoyed this meal last summer. I had steak, DH had fish and chips. Aps were yummy~ a cheese plate and a soup, and dessert was good as well. (I remember something with Baileys in it?) Would go again, no complaints:goodvibes

In all my trips to WDW, I have never eaten @ R & C....I have dinner ressies there Halloween night:thumbsup2 I am so excited to try it!
Can anyone mention what type of ''different'' beers that they serve, I drink Bass Ale at home, so I want to try to avoid drinking something I always drink.
