Tell me about Primeval Whirl????

mum and i did this ride, she hates coasters but loved this.Meanwhile me,the hard coster fan, screamed from start to finish.Figure that one out.

I haven't ridden Primeval Whirl yet, but one time in Austria I rode a ride just like it. It was so much fun, I was laughing the entire time. I wished I could have ridden it again, but as I haven't made it back to Austria again, I thought my chances were gone. Then I saw that they had one at Disney World, and voila! Now I'm sooo excited to ride again. It'll just be me, though, as my kids are too short and my husband doesn't like spinny rides.

i thought this ride was really fun. only problem.. i felt sorry for the little kid squeezed in( total stranger cm put in our car) by hubby. must have been plenty of weight in the car  cause once we started spinning we never stopped...however husband didn't feel sick ( usually does on spinning things) not sure why. it's like a tilt awhirl and wild mouse combined although i didn't get the "dinos destroyed by comet" thing till after we got back so not real "themed "imo

Let's just say that's why they call it Primeval Hurl.

I really enjoyed this ride even though I was thrown all over the complete strangers who I was riding with in the car. I'm 4'10 and I had a hard time staying in one place when it was spinning but I still had a blast. My DS7 is really wanting to ride it this year and he's a big coaster fan :)

Reading this post literally brings a smile to my face! Forget EE. THIS is what I'm heading for when the park opens. Absolute love the fact it doesn't have huge drops. Add the spinning and it's the Teacups Gone Wild! I can't wait! :woohoo:

I rode it for the first time in January. My brother made me. It was basicallt the Tilt-A-Whirl on a roller coaster track. It was very fun. I loved it. I even get motion sickness on most rides like that, but my eyes were closed a lot of the time on this. I was screaming and laughing the whole time, mainly because everytime we went around a corner, the three others in the car all crushed me! I would go again....kids love it too.

teacups with hiccups on steroids is a good explaination :rotfl:

I friggin love this ride!!! The first time my mom and I went on it we were laughing so hard we almost peed ourselves. I could ride it over and over and over. One of my fav rides at AK (probably right after the Safari, although I haven't ridden EE yet).

From what I have seen, gravity controls the spinning. Watching from the outside, it looks like the cars that spin the most have the weight more concentrated in one area (like an adult on one side and kids on the other). When you go up a hill, the heaviest rider may not be on the end of the car going down first, but since the car spins, once you start going down, the car spins so the heaviest part is at the bottom (I'm not sure if this makes sense, but it will as you are watching).

As far as I remember you can't really control it when you're going up and down hills but you CAN control it when you're at the non-hilly parts. I seem to remember figuring this out and getting us spinning like crazy before going back into a hilly part.

Such a fun ride!

the first thing that came to mind when i saw the thread title was OUCH! We were just in the world last week and ouchies! I don't think my booty has ever been hurt like that on a ride before, but thankfully no bruise! It is a fun ride but oh so very jerky. In theory the idea is great...tilt a whirl on a roller coaster track, I think they just failed to execute it correctly. Try it for yourself though, just brace yourself for jerkiness.

it's fun fun fun though i've never managed to control the spinning and it can be quite jerky but it's good for a laugh
