I read about it on one of the theme park threads and it sounds
awesome.
Where can one find this bread and does anyone have a pic?

Pretzel Bread (among other breads) is brought to your table once seated at Le Cellier. Just MHO, yet it is just "ok" as is the cheese soup served there. However, the pretzel bread dipped in the cheese soup? Now that was pretty yummy! :upsidedow

it's soooo yummy, especially lathered up in butter :thumbsup2

I don't know that you can get it anywhere else though...:confused3

I've never tried dipping the pretzel bread in the cheese soup. Individually they taste like a soft pretzel & melted cheese to me. I'm not a fan of either. ;) I like soft pretzels, but not as a substitute for dinner rolls/ bread. Maybe, we should have tried them together to see if we like it better that way. :confused3

I love pretzel bread, but the Le Cellier pretzel bread is not that amazing. The best part of pretzel bread is having it still warm with melted butter on it & at Le Cellier it's never been warm for me(but I do love Le Cellier). I make homemade pretzel bread every Thanksgiving. I use the recipe from Disney's cookbook. If you like soft pretzels, you'd really like pretzel bread. You can also get it at the Germany pavilion.

I think the jumbo pretzels in Germany (Epcot) taste the same as the pretzel bread at Le Cellier

I think we were served pretzel bread for dinner at CRT in July. It sure reminded me of a soft pretzel in taste and appearance - I enjoyed it, but would not go out of my way to hunt some down.

they have the bread (but not in long form) in Germany...it is like a bun there....it is warm and I put a dollop of butter on it.......DELICIOUS......so is Le Cellier as mentioned.......delicious

Laugensemmeln are the most common German version - the pretzel bread at Le Cellier is a softer version and differently shaped. (what is called a Laugenstange in German)

The buns at Biergarten are closer to the authentic version, as are the pretzels served there (BUT there were no longer pretzels at Sommerfest a few weeks ago, and the last few times they have been too hard/stale)

As an aside, Lufthansa short haul Economy flights serve a Laugensemmel with cheese - the best Economy class snack I have had on an airline!

And my favourite way to eat a real Brezel (not the soft sweet things sold in America) is cut open and spread with unsalted butter - a Butterbrezel!

I use the recipe for the pretzel bread from Germany- Traditional Laugensemmel.

It's amazing. :cloud9:
