I am staying at POP for the 1st time in 08. How is the food court?? Any favorites?? Tips??? Thanks popcorn:: popcorn::

Well, it's a typical Disney value resorts food court. Nothing to write home about. But not bad either.
They offer a good variety. And best to eat food there when they are busy. Believe me, you do not want to eat any food from the food courts when they are not busy and the food has been sitting around...

For Breakfast? The omeletes were quite good! :upsidedow
For Dessert? The Twinkie Tiramisu, believe it or not, was yummy! :upsidedow

The Chicken Asian Salad yummy. And fresh Brewed Iced Tea!! We really liked the FC at Pop.

I sd the Twinkie Tiramusu it was delicious! I loved theChicken Alfredo with breadsticks. The mediteraneanflatbread was good too ! The kids loved the steak wraps! Tip you can get a sundae as dessert andgo up for it upto 1 hour after ordering!

I like the chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast. For lunch/dinner I've enjoyed the chicken soup (it has an Asian flavor) and the salmon. I actually really enjoy the food court at Pop.

I love the lo mein noodles with or without shrimp! The omelet and the breakfast platter is adequate. No, it's not fresh from a personal chef's skillet. It's a basic fast food breakfast. Pop is a food court that must serve hundreds rapidly. Remember that and you'll be okay.

The caesar salad is good too.

I'm looking forward to being there in just over 100 days. Hope you have a great time too!

Thanks for the suggestions. I really am excited. It seems like a long long time to wait. (4/08)

The CC pancakes stood out as being very good to me too. I didnt have them until our last morning and wished I had discovered them sooner. ;)

Hi

DH and I have stayed at POP several times. We've had great meals no matter what time of day we have gone. He absolutely loves the buttermilk fried chicken meal with green beans and mashed potatoes. The big bowl chicken noodle soup is a meal itself. I had it twice in one day. The grilled flatbreads are really good too. Breakfast - we always go basic. We get the cereal, milk, juice, bananas from the foodcourt.

We loved all the food we had at Pop. My husband SWEARS by the chili cheese dogs!

My DH craves them...not like it is just around the corner either!!

We often ate breakfast there if we didn't have ADR's anywhere for breakfast. The food isn't bad I don't think. Keep an eye out for the HM's too.

It's a large, busy and noisy food court but with a lot of good choices. The flatbread was very good. Also tye-dye cheesecake and frozen cokes. There's a special of the day, e.g. fried chicken one or two days a week.

Frozen coke!! I have been to Disney a dozen times and just took my new bride last year. She's still talking about the frozen cokes. There is also a great selection of fruit, milk, juice, boxed sandwiches, salads, doughnuts, etc.

Just got back from Pop yesterday (9/30), we got some breakfasts from the food court:

Chocolate chip pancake platter - we had this several times, we're big kids now so we can have chocolate chips for breakfast. ;) The platter had 4 decent sized pancakes, a sausage patty and bacon. (one day they gave us 3 strips, the other days 2 strips).

Waffle platter - large waffle with a "POP" logo on it, came with sausage and bacon too.

Waffle with topping - came with strawberry topping and they asked if we wanted whipped cream on it. Answer: "Yes!" No meats served with this.

The only non-breakfast meal ordered was on check out day, my DS ordered the Turkey Focacia sandwich which he enjoyed. They let us choose a Mickey Ice Cream bar as the dessert with this for a Counter Service credit.

Everything had large enough portion for adults with smaller appetites to share.

Oh.... my DH ordered a shake from the ice cream section (off to the side from the main food court by the waffle irons) and said it was the same as the Edy's shake from Fountainview at EPCOT.

Lines seemed to move quickly, although they looked daunting.
