Tell me about OKW...

Tell me what you like or perhaps dislike about OKW. Any buildings to avoid staying in? Does OKW have nice shaded pathways and the same sort of landscaping as POR? TIA

Likes:
1. The laid back atmosphere of the resort.
2. How huge their one and two bedrooms are.
3. The main pool has a slide enclosed in a mickey sandcastle.
4. I feel like I'm in some quaint little town.
5. That every area has it's own pool.
6. There are plenty of bus stops; I know from pretty much all the rooms I've stayed at I could easily walk to two different bus stops.

Dislikes:
1. It has a slightly confusing layout, that can make it seem bigger than it is.
2. No elevators.
3. As far as studios go, these are my least favorite. They seem smaller than the other ones I've stayed in. The sink is inside the bathroom, instead of outside like all the others (which makes it difficult for everyone to get ready in the morning).
4. The bus service can be very slow.

I don't know too much about their paths, so sorry, can't help there. I think OKW has beautiful landscaping, but it looks like you're in FL.

I personally love OKW, but it's not for everyone. Mostly, people complain about it's size, but if you were OK at POR, I don't think you'll have a problem.

Some of the buildings do have elevators. Maybe somebody can give you the building numbers.

I don't like the King headboards. They look cheesy.

Buildings 62, 63, 64 have elevators.

I've stayed there many times. My favorite rooms were in buildings 26, 31, 37, 43. My least favorite was 28, it is along a fairway and the trees block the view, making the room dark. Building 29 is even worse.

we loved OKW. The size of the units is the largest of all WDW properties.
We liked the themeing and the laid back atmosphere. We liked being able to park right outside of our unit. I liked being able to take the boat to DTD.
We had a beautiful view from our large balconey.
Bus service mid day (not at opening and closing times) can be slow.

POR landscaping is old south.

OKW is KW - so it does not have the magnolia.

I happen to like (love) studios.

now don't like to be near the HH - it is too much action for me. that say since you are new to oKW that might be the best for you. - 23-26 building would be my suggestions.

62-64 have elevators.

Hi: I would love to try okw. Can you tell me if there are better buildings than others in terms of smelling the bus fumes. My daughter can get very sick from the bus/car fumes.
