We have decided to go to WDW for my birthday in May    Just waiting on the OK from my watch manager to get my leave approved so fingers crossed!

We have never been at this time, how are the crowd levels, do Disney offer free dining?:)

Hi,

Cannot advise about the Dining Plan but as you miss Easter it's not a bad time to go crowd wise and the weather is just warming up too for the summer.

May is a good time to go.

Great time to go, we are going out for 3 weeks in May, we've been out in May for the last 4 years, great weather (hardly any rain), crowds are fine, not to busy but not quiet. Getting into restaurants is fairly painless, we would never go at any other time given the choice. Remember when you come home you have 'the great British Summer' to look forward to, (do you remember Summer it used to be in June/July/August?) Go for it.

We have been twice in May and love it. All the heat of June - August without any of the humidity as it doesn't rain! Crowds were a bot lighter than June (when we usually go) as well.

Thanks guys, got my flight for $1330 for 4 of us so very pleased!:thumbsup2

Wow, I hope they have similar prices for 2010 :)

Another :thumbsup2 for May, great weather, not too busy. We are planning to go again in May 2010.

mays a great time to go, we have already booked for next year!! The crowds are light, weathers great couldnt ask for much more, and seeing as you got such a great price i think its a no-brainer really;) :thumbsup2

We were there in May this year and the weather was great, hot but not overbearing and the crowd levels were good. The month of May has the longest hours of sunshine average 10 hours and low rainfall. May and November are my favourite times to go.
Have a great time I am sure you will.

Thanks everyone, just have to decide what to do for my birthday!

The US have mothers day in May and have a fantastic brunch in Epcot. If you can get in for that it would be a great way to celebrate! The flower festival is fantastic in May :hippie:

Im back in Florida in 2 weeks time but we are planning to go in May 2010 FOR OUR DISNEY WEDDING!!!!!!!!

May is a lovely time of year to visit... we went May 6th to 20th in 2006 and the weather was lovely... rained in the evening on 2 occasions i think... crowds werent too bad, got busier towards mid may, there were alot of school groups in the parks but other than that no complaints.

we love May but the school are very good and let people take the children out any time of the year but not during the month of May because the whole school practice SATs and not just the pupils sitting them (i think this is very fair). So we will not be going in May for a while, but it is our best time of the year.

ive been in May before and i thought it was a great time to go. the weather was lovely. had brief showers spells (v brief) but it was lovely and sunny so dried quick.
im going in May next year.
whens mothers day in USA?

we love the end of may/start of june.
You get good temps and littlr humidity
As for the free ddp no as its a popular time to go,they offer it for the quiet period, which is usaly mid aug to end sept
Paulh

We enjoyed going in May this year due to the lovely weather and lowish crowds. We were there for Mothers day, unbeknown to us at the time which only became apparant when they would not accept our DDE discount card for lunch or dinner at WDW due to it being Mothers day.

Thanks guys, really looking forward to visiting in May. Shame I wont be there for mothers day but at least I will be there for my birthday :)

We were in EPCOT for mothers day in may2005 as we entered the gate i was greeted by a cast member who wished me a happy mothers day and gave me a red flower.:flower3:
