My family and I are looking to come to Disneyland next March. This will be spring break for our kids. How will the crowds be since Easter is in April next year? Will the temperature be warm enough for the kids to swim? Thanks for the advice!

We were there in March this year. I wish I could remember the dates. The trip was going great. Then dh wanted to go to a comic convention on Saturday so we switched our Saturday park day for a Monday. Bam! Crowds! Spring break had let loose! It was hell. We were there about 3 hours and left. Plan your dates carefully. You’ll have to figure out which school districts are off at what times and how many students is in that group. There is a post with some dates.

I won’t go in march again because it was pure coincidence it wasn’t wall to wall people every day of our trip.

March is often cool especially in the morning. Maybe with a heated pool it wouldn't be an issue though. As smartlabel said some of the month is super crowded due to spring break. But then again with big crowds come longer operating hours. There is a thread in this forum that has the historical hours. Take a look at that to determine when the crowds get really big. 8am to 12am close time is when the crowds are at their peak.

But even with big crowds you can still have a great time if you get up really early. The first 2 hours of the day is when you can ride the attractions without long lines. After that it's all fast passes for us. Also at the very end of the day is a good time as well. The attractions will post long wait times at the end of the day but often they are deceptive and trying to discourage you from waiting. But with the big crowds you will need to temper your expectations on what you can accomplish in your day.

Our spring break was 12-16th of March. Sunday was rainy and about 55 degrees so we were lone wolves in the park. We got everything accomplished by 2:30, that I had planned for 2 days. It was that kind of weather Monday and Tuesday. By Wed it was warmer and the crowds were much more steady.
We went again the same time next year. While the crowds were a bit more, it wasn’t crazy until late Wed and Thursday- Friday if that week
