the good .......the bad .......everything.......

thanks

Yikes Spring break

didn't think of that

anyone know what week that will be next year??

There is no Spring Break Week, different schools go at different times. My college breaks the first week in March, so that's 'our' WDW week. Temps then are 75 - 85 for daily highs with little rain. Here's the weather history:

Crowds in the first 10 days are moderate. Get to the parks early, use FP and you'll do fine. We've been there 6 times in March, once in Nov. (slow time) and once in Jan. (dead time) and March is our favorite. Nothing like a March WDW trip to get you through a winter in PA.

well it will still be winter here in upstate NY in March so
the trip will be a much needed break from the snow

thanks for the insight

I went two spring breaks in college. The good thing about spring breakers is that they stroll in pretty late. So if you get to the parks at opening, they won't be crowded. Pleasure Island will be more crowded than usual.

We went in March last year 2 weeks before Easter. IT was fairly crowded, but if you follow a touring plan and avoid the parks they tell you to, it's not too bad. THe one thing I learned was not to pack according to the forecast. It was supposed to be 70-80 the week we were there, but something changed and for three days it was 50-60. We didn't bring warm clothes(except the ones we wore from NC). I would suggest bringing some warmer clothes, just in case.

The parks were busy, but not mobbed.
Very manageable with fastpass.

The weather was nice and mild. We did bring a lightweight long sleeve shirt and wore tank tops underneath as it was cool in the morning and evenings, and perfect during the day.

The good:

Beautiful weather (didn't rain once when we were there)
Beautiful trees were in bloom.

The bad & ugly:

germs! We all got sick on different days and had to visit the urgent care clinic twice. Be prepared for this!!! We took viamins each day and brought hand sanitizer and still got sick being extra careful.
So take extra care to wash hands and sanitize after touching hand-bars and finger scanners.

Kayla - bummer about your December trip! But from what I've heard the parks should be relatively empty in March! And the weather will seem warm to a NY girl!

We've been 3 years in March ('02, '04, '06) for about 10 - 12 days each and love it because the weather is gorgeous. Only once in all those days has it rained. We typically pack a light windbreaker and a pair of jeans just in case. This year a cool snap came through and we switched our AK & BB days, but we still wore shorts. We went to BB once and TL twice and swam all the other days. Although I believe '05 had quite a bit of colder weather.

Like others have mentioned, the crowds are manageable, and there's typically a cheerleading competition at MGM around the 12th, but we still went on that day and didn't have any problems. We typically go the 2nd week and I think it keeps getting a little more crowded throughout the month. I agree that if you have a plan, you shouldn't have any problems.

One thing we've had trouble with is the blooming trees. My DH has severe allergies and has learned to get a kenalog shot before we go and that helps.
