We’ve never done this but I think my son would enjoy them. Where do you catch them? Where do they drop you off? Is there much of a wait at RD? Anything else I should know?

I think we’ve seen one or two along Main Street but I’ve never seen them moving.

The double decker bus (and I think the others too but not sure) pick up right out front of Town Square Theater (where Mickey and Tinkerbell meet). It drops you off in front of the castle.

When we've done it, it's been in the AM and I don't remember much of a wait (although I'm sure there can be at times). Most folks are too busy rushing past and into further depths of the park, it seems.

BTW, grab the front row on the double decker bus if you can. Great vantage point for some pics.

Definitely, even if you can't get Front Row,the experience from the top deck riding down Main Street USA is AWESOME-a "must-do" for hardcore WDW fans!:)

Agree! My sisters and I did it last April on a fairly crowded day - it was a couple days after Easter - and it was amazing! Will try to load pics! We got the last ride of the day, I believe, around lunchtime. I don't think they run in the afternoon but I could definitely be wrong about that? Since it was the last ride, the bus driver kept apologizing that he could only drive us "one" way - from the castle to the front entrance. We assured him we could make the walk back up to the castle!

One of my sisters rode the firetruck completely alone, lol! She didn't want to go in early with us for EMH, so she arrived and started sending us pics from the firetruck, lol! I don't know why no one else was on it on such a busy morning - go figure!

That’s funny because last year one day we were hanging around outside the theater waiting to meet Mickey, playing checkers at the store on the corner there and never saw them. D’oh.

!

That answers another of my questions. TP says they end at noon. I wanted to confirm that. I guess it makes since since the tide of people switches to exiting in the afternoon.

Unless it was just a break and I'm remembering incorrectly - I just don't want to steer you wrong! But I do feel like I read somewhere on these threads before our trip that they just ran in the morning. That was one of my "goals" for the trip so I remember I was trying to research it, lol! I think your son would enjoy it and I agree with @GADisneyDad14, I think a lot of people are rushing to rides first thing so you may be able to catch one without much of a wait...

This is one thing we always mean to do when we're there but don't, we'll have to try it sometime

We wandered into the MK at about 9:15 one day and saw the horse-drawn carriage just sitting there. Decided to hop on...no wait, no people, nothing. Couple other families got on.

Then right before it pulled away the Dapper Dans got on and started singing...sang the whole way down Main Street. It was awesome!

They were singing Christmas songs. It was November 3 and two days prior we had gone to MNSSHP, so Christmas songs were....weird. But it was nice.

Correct me if i'm wrong but I believe these only operate early in the morning, I have never seen any vehicles in the afternoon.. It is very unfortunate that they have such limited operating hours for this..

That's correct. As the official link I posted shows, they usually operate from 8am to 10:15am, but the times can differ on some weekend days including Friday.
