Tell me about Jellyrolls...

Chances are we will definitely make it to Jellyrolls the night of the 13th... we tend to go there as much as we can once we get to the World! Is there a big group of y'all? We will look for ya!!!

Teresa it will be great to see you again!!

There's a 99.9% chance we will also be at JRs on the 13th. We get in late afternoon.

Hi Tracy and Robin -

There are at least six people in our group. We are meeting for dinner at Le Cellier first and then going over to Jelly Rolls.

Looking forward to meeting you both at Jellyrolls on the 13th!

Yup, my birthday is May 13th. When you say "special" do you mean embarassing?

LOL Yes, "special" could be viewed as potentially embarassing, but if you wanted to keep it on the down low, they won't call you out or anything.

No matter what, we will do a cheers with you and maybe even some of the crazy group dances they do there...lol

Hi All -

I just found this thread & was wondering...

Would it be too late to try to get into Jelly Rolls after having a late dinner? :confused3

DH & I are will be on our Anniversary trip & would like to see the dueling pianos.
Is it too late to try to get in to Jelly Rolls at 10:30 / 11:00pm?? (It would be a Monday night)
Would it be too crowded by that time of night to get a seat/table??

Also, I saw that the place is open until 2am... but are the dueling pianoist performing that late??

Thanks for any info!! :goodvibes

It's worth the trip even if you get there later. I've arrived around then before and you might have to wait a bit for someone to leave, but some of the early birds tend to leave as the later crowd shifts in. You'd still have the second half of the night.

Here's What I've Learned...

1. Pay the $10- cover - It's absolutely worth it!

12. There's no hotel-hotel bus service so to get to Jellyrolls get a cab to the Boardwalk, or walk through Epcot and exit out between France and United Kingdom or take a boat/walk from the Studios or you can get a bus from DTD

14. Be warned - the place is VERY addictive!

15. for more info check out the link in my signature :thumbsup2

Thanks for this info especially! DH and I are taking a trip to WDW in about a week and this sounds like a great late night option! He plays piano and loves the music. It's even better that it's non-smoking! A few newbie-ish questions  If you exit via epcot, how far of a walk is it to the bar itself? Also, we're not staying at a resort hotel but the Radisson in Lake Buena Vista. Would it be better for us to take a cab or is there a bus that goes that way?

Thanks for the info, DisneyDreams21!

DH and I are excited to try something new - we've never even been to the Boardwalk area, much less Jelly Rolls!! We were just worried about getting there so late.
We're thinking of having dinner at Spoodles or Big River Grille & Brewing Works AFTER seeing Fantasmic - then going to Jelly Rolls after dinner....

I know we have a while - our trip is in Dec..... but we just can't wait!! :yay:

Thanks Again,
~mary

From the International Gateway, it's a fairly long walk as it's at the far end of the Boardwalk (10-15 min.). Two ways there - you can head straight down by the Y&BC and over the bridge near the Dolphin or head to ESPN/the Boardwalk and follow it all the way around.
Also, we're not staying at a resort hotel but the Radisson in Lake Buena Vista. Would it be better for us to take a cab or is there a bus that goes that way?
The closest you'll get to the Radisson by bus is DTD. You could then take a cab from there back to the hotel (cheaper - this is what I'd do, but I'm cheap) or just take a cab from the Boardwalk all the way.

Enjoy!!! :goodvibes

I ended up needing to take a cab from the Boardwalk to the Radisson Lake Buena Vista after a fun night at Jellyrolls in December and I think it was right around 20 dollars. Not a bad deal when it is 2 am and you just want to go to bed! :)

Thanks so much for this info all :goodvibes: Would it be a better idea to go to Jellyrolls from Hollywood? Looking at the map on wdwinfo, it seems like that entrance is much closer?

You can also take the friendship boats from HS or Epcot to the Boardwalk.

Are those free?

Yes. I usually take them from HS more than Epcot, but there is a dock outside HS and the boats are free and run about every 20 minutes--part of Disney free transportation. They stop at Swan/Dolphin, Boardwalk, and the Beach & Yacht Club docks.

I think the walk seems longer from HS for some reason. Once you exit Epcot's World Showcase exit, you go over a bridge and end up pretty near the Boardwalk. So, I usually am more apt to boat from HS and walk from Epcot.

My daughter is working at Disney this semester and doesn't turn 21 until March 31st. We will be in Florida next week and this is just the kind of entertainment we love. MUSIC and fun!!!!!!!!!!! She will still only be 20 when we visit. Does that mean she can't get in, or if she is with her parents will they allow her in? If we can't go to Jelly Rolls is there a similar place located around the Disney area with music and audiance participation? Does Orlando have another piano bar?

You must be 21 to get into Jellyrolls. I am not sure about Orlando entertainment. Susan

Thanks for the great tips everyone. I have added Jellyrolls to our itinerary for the last three trips and then never made it as we're always to tired in the evening! Maybe this time :)
