The "standard" rooms at the GF are considered "garden view" rooms. These rooms typically offer views of the gardens/landscaping, pool, courtyards, etc. There are a few rooms in Conch Key and Sago Cay that are considered GV, but overlook the marina, so there is a bit of a water view there.
The consensus seems to be that there aren't a lot of "bad" views out there at the GF.
Unfortunately, a view of the Magic Kingdom (theme park view) is a bookable category, and unless you get a free upgrade at check-in, there isn't much of a chance that you will get this view with a garden view room.
The rooms themselves are pretty similar in interior decor, and are the same size, save for the dormer rooms. Dormer rooms can be considered "garden view" - these rooms are on the top floors of the lodge buildings. They have cathedral ceilings, are smaller in square footage (situated under the eaves), and have a solid waist-high balcony rail. Some people find these rooms charming, while others miss the additional floor space and don't like the solid balcony.
