Tell me about Fulton's

Fulton's WAS on our list as a must do for lunch on arrival day to WDW. I would get the 1/2 order of crab claws (which is something like $55 at dinner, half that for lunch). Up until March, a half order was usually 4 or 5 claws. In March, I got exactly TWO claws. When I asked the waiter if there was a mistake, he said no. It was WAY overpriced for two claws.

I love crab and my new favorite location at WDW for crab is the Cape May buffet. It has wonderful snow crab and that is pretty much all I eat at the buffet until I am full- just snow crab. It is a MUCH better deal than Fulton's.

If you are looking for romantic though, Fultion's would be better than Cape May. I just don't think it is worth it anymore as far as cost.

We are trying Cape May on another night with our children. I am looking forward to trying it!

Does anyone know whether you can substitute a different side for the steamed red potatoes that come with the crab? I do not like those, but like baked or mashed and was wondering if they would let me switch?

Our meals were okay, not great but alright. The service was horrible - our server mostly ignored us all evening. We were not offered drink refills, we weren't told about the specials, we were not asked if we wanted dessert (which we did) and had a difficult time getting him to prepare the check. All we wanted by the end of the night was to get out! To top it off, the server complained about how hectic everything was that night. Too much money for what we received!

We tried this last year as it looked like the best option for Downtown Disney and we had tickets to La Nouba. I made the reservation thinking we could not use dining credits, but we were on the platinum plan and our server told us we could use them, so it turned out great. Waited about 10 minutes for a table.

The filet of beef oscar was one of the best meals I've ever had at Disney. The filet was bigger than I expected and had so much crab meat on top that I could not finish it.

We love Fultons! Yes, it's pricey but we know most of our Disney meals are over-priced and budget accordingly. I often go there alone while my husband and teenage boys enjoy Disney Quest. (I can only take so much of that noise level.) Love the DVC discount for lunch! I order the calamari appetizer. It's great!!
