Tell me about February!

We've been in Sept, Oct, and Dec. and have had great luck with weather crowds & the resorts have never seemed crowded! How about Feb...the 13th thru the 18th to be exact. I know the following week is Presidents week and that's busier but how about my week? The kids are staying home this time so it's just my hubby and I for Valentines Day and we're hoping for low crowds and great weather!

We were there this year from 2/1 to 2/9 and the weather was fine as far as I was concerned. A little too chilly for swimming, IMHO, but fine for the hot tubs and sitting out. There was not much sun, unfortunately, but it did not rain. Plenty of folks were in the pools. The weather was in the high 60's-low-70's, great for touring and shopping. It got really humid one day, which was weird. No crowds, except for the Monday after the SuperBowl which was in Jacksonville this year. Philly crowds must have hightailed it to WDW after the Eagles lost (I was already there! ) and the Pats fans went there to prolong the party!

Hi Kathy,

Crowds will begin to pick up on the 17th and 18th as President's Day weekend starts. But the rest of your week should be pretty empty!

As for the weather, there are no guarantees in Febraury. It is completely unpredictable! You could have days near 80 with cool mornings or you could have mornings near freezing with afternoon highs struggling to get out of the 40s. And both of those situations could happen within a few days of each other.

Most of the time you will be there will be very busy. Crowds will probably begin to thin out a little by Wednesday the 23rd but lots of people will be arrving on the 18th and staying all week.

Don't know about the crowds, because we have been the first full week of Feb the last two years and going again this year! We found the daytime to be pretty warm - I wore shorts and a T-shirt every day. However, at night, we needed jackets and long pants. I understand that it can be chilly during the days, but I have never experienced this.

February is an excellent time of year to go!

Little to no crowds and the weather is generally very enjoyable! I prefer to park hop in a sweatshirt as oppsed to sweating profusely during the sumer months!

We've visited Orlando during Feb for the last 3 years during President's week. We have always been lucky enough to have great weather. Of course, we are from NY, so anything seems great when you are leaving behind 20 degrees and snow! This past year it was REALLY warm. Shorts every day & swimming.

This year we are going 2/1-2/7. I am sure it won't be quite as warm, but it will still be better than NY! This is our first family trip to the World. I am hoping we picked a good week for crowds (ie. avoiding Pres. week).
