I've read a few sparce details regarding Epcots' Wine Walk? You supposedly receive two - 2 oz samplings of two wines in three different countries, correct? Anyone know anymore details?

My husband and I did something similar to this, although I don't remember what it was called.

I think the countries were Italy, France, and United Kingdom but I could be wrong....the only one I am certain is Italy. We made our purchase in Italy and they gave us a sheet of paper. Once you got your wines at each place, they stamped your paper to show that you've already received your wine there.

It was okay, but I don't think we would do it again. We were under the impression that they would tell us something about the wine; something like an educational experience too; which isn't what happened. They just poured the wine and that was it.

It's a good way to try different wines without having to buy an entire glass of it though.

The countries were Italy, France and Germany. (I can't think of any British wines). The above poster is right - no talk, they just pour the wine for you. They had a few wines to choose from. I can't remember if I got to sample two in each country or just one. You can purchase the ticket in any of the three countries, I bought it in Germany.

These days I spend drink money at La Cava del Tequila though.

I have been wanting to try Germany's wines. This might be a good way to do it.

Thanks for the info, may do this on Sunday.;)

I'm totally going off topic, but since TDC Nala mentioned it...is there a La Cava de Tequila menu online somewhere? I'm not a huge margarita fan, but I'm intrigued by the blood orange margarita.

I think the wine passport sounds interesting. I'm up for trying it once - I've spent $20 on dumber things at DW :rolleyes1

Although the wine passport can be fun, dh and I noticed that the cheaper and lower quality wines are poured with the passport. For example, we noticed they weren't pouring the Bordeaux that was available by the glass at the France pavilion. So, we just go to the wine bars and order what we want.

"Party Through The Parks" has a drink menu for La Cava.

Just remember that the 2009 menu linked above is out of date. Some of the drink and food offerings have changed since then. Oh, and La Cava now sells souvenir shot glasses for $6. (Yes I have one)

What is your favorite margarita got to try some but so many choices, also on a different day we will have to try the wine walk and all this during the Wine Fest maybe I won't get hopper passes this year and just stay at EPCOT.

Last weekend I had a cucumber, a pineapple and a jalapeno (not all on the same day). The jalapeno is my favorite of the three. I also like the blood orange margarita and the avocado one.

Okay, thanks to the PP that posted the Party through the Parks advice. I've been on that site all morning, reading reviews. I'm so going to be the mom who drags her child to the tequila bar.
