Tell me about Enchanted Tales with Belle

My daughter has done this several times and never wanted to have a part (although her most recent time, she finally got the nerve to participate), and she has had her photo taken with Belle by the Photopass photographer every time. It is just a photo -- no opportunity to interact one-on-one, like other character meets. The whole experience is great -- more calm and intimate that most other Disney attraction.

I've watched it on Youtube a couple of times and am really looking forward to it (42 year old me and my 70+ year old parents). We're hoping to do ETWB right before we head to BOG for breakfast on Easter morning. I think it'll be a cool way to get us ready for BOG. It'll be our first time for both the attraction and the restaurant! Excited!

Is there a Photo Pass Photographer there to take photos?

Yes, we were there in August and both my boys and husband were participants and we have all the pictures on our Memory Maker. They give you a photo pass card and you have to go to the building where Tony's is and pick out the pictures that your family is in and add them to your account. It took maybe 20 minutes.

This is such a cute interactive show, we will do it again.

You can also just add that photopass card to your account online. You'll end up with everyone's picture that was in your ETWB group/session, but you can do it when you get back to your hotel or home and not take park time to do it.

We did it last time we went. There was a photopass person there. My ds11 was picked to be the beast. I was in LOVE. DD8 was picked to be her father.

Belle talked to my son the whole they danced, but, we couldn't hear what they were saying. She said to me when I went to get pics with my own camera that my son was a very sweet young man.

I am not sure if my kids would want to do it again. I feel once is enough and it was perfect. I am happy we did it.

DS(4) was a bit confused/worried that he had to be "separated" from me during the show when we went for the first time last month. Even though the parents sit on rows of small benches in front of the little show they put on, some kids may be hesitant to participate if they can't see mom and dad sitting just behind some other parents. Just for reference, DS was fine at dozens of regular M&G interacting with characters, dancing at the kids dance parties, etc., but this setup and Turtle Talk made him freeze up. Honestly I think it's because I spend all day in the parks telling him to stay where I can see him, and then we get to ETWB and I say - go ahead, go without me.

don't wait for the last "show" of the day. we had a fast pass for this right before park closing, and they didn't let us in because there weren't enough people in line to put the show on...she mentioned needing about 20 people to make a go of it.

The two times I did ETWB, only the people (children and adults) who participated by taking a part in the story telling were invited to meet and photo op one-on-one with Belle. We also received a gift, a bookmark.

On our last trip (Dec 2015), my son and daughter did not participate in the show and did NOT get to have a photo taken with Belle. We were in total shock when we realized Belle had already left the room and we hadn't been called up from our seats for our photo. When I asked a CM, I was told that they have to be in the show OR join the parade that takes place very quickly at the end of the show. This was a change from previous trips where anyone who wanted a photo was able to have one taken, even if you weren't picked to be in the show. My kids are still pretty little and they were too timid to join the parade on their own, but in the future, I will plan on going with them so that we don't miss out.

I'd be shocked if any little kid was "bored" during ETWB. Our 2 year old girl did fine, even watching her dad and older sister participate. At the end, Belle actually gave our 2 year old some special attention because she was wearing a Belle shirt. Brought tears to old dad's eyes. :hyper2:

From the time it opened, it has always been hit and miss depending on the CMs who are in the room as to whether they announce that kids who did not participate, but want to see Belle can get in line. They are almost always allowed to do so, but often the CMs don't actually announce that they are. (I've never seen them turn any kid away that got in line, but I have heard a story or 2 about it possibly happening). So sorry your kids missed it. We have done it several times because it is the only way to get a picture of Belle in her gold dress anywhere at WDW unless you eat at Akershus- and DD loves the princesses. When we were in there once, I saw 2 little girls crying because other kids were getting their picture with Belle, so I motioned to a CM and pointed them out, and she immediately came and got them and took them to the line. Another time, there was a little girl crying because she had not participated in the show as she was shy, and she really wanted her picture with Belle and to see Belle, but no way was she getting up and standing in the front of the room with everyone still on the benches watching as an audience. That time a CM brought Belle over to see her and speak to her on the way out of the room, but she did not get a picture with Belle.

The cottage and special effects are amazing, but for us (including DD) the show was cute the first couple of times, but then became just a necessary annoying thing to have to sit through for DD to get to say hello to and get her picture with Belle. We are not fans--- we really think that Belle should be available somewhere else in her gold dress (any park- but not requiring an ADR/meal) for a real meet and greet. Just a warning, unless you are positioned just right at the benches where you can get an angle to get a shot of Belle and your child, you will not be able to get photos with your own camera. I have seen a couple of parents not right there, but close to that area be able to jump up and get a shot, but we have also been there when everyone was instructed to stay seated in place by the CMs. They rush the kids through really fast for pictures. It is a few words from Belle and a quick snap and on to the next kid. Sometimes they turn out cute despite the rush, but we have had a couple of times where the photo was bad/blurred. We even had one time where they had some type of a glitch and lost all of the photos from our session and could not retrieve them (felt sorry for the parents of kids that had the bigger parts- especially the beast). If your child is one of the bigger parts, there will be photopass shots taken during the show. The real annoying thing is that they are all on one photopass number, so that when you put it in you will get about 100 photos added to your account, of which there might be just 1 of your child if they were not a part. Then you have to spend forever trying to delete all of the others out of your account.

It is definitely something worth doing at least once for a 5 year old girl, and I would not worry about a younger one being disruptive. He likely won't be the only toddler there.

Like just about everything else there, the more you are in to it, the more fun everyone will have.

Both of my daughters were picked for parts a few weeks ago, but they got more of a kick out of the fact that I was picked to be one of the palace guards. Played it up, had fun, got a nice picture and had a great time.
