How much are they and are they worth it. I have 2 girls 5 1/2 and 9 myself and DH.
we will bring a backpack with us but I was thinking of bringing a change of clothes /shoes just in case. we are not staying on site.

The only time we used on was at Blizzard beach and a large one there was $9 and if you brought the key back you got $2 back.

We were having periods of rain each day and I had to bring a tote bag with our ponchos in it when we went to the parks, each day however started out bright and sunny, so I wanted to put the bag into a locker while in the park, but my DH brought up a point, what good would it do if we were way on the other side of the park and then it started pouring and our ponchos were in a locker on the other side of the park. I ended up carrying the bag, which was pretty light, but wouldn't you know that if I carried it all day, that the rain never came? Had I locked it up I am sure a storm would have happened as is my luck...lol

I am not sure if every park has lockers in all different sections of the park so, if you wanted to, you could lock up stuff, do the section of the parks near the lockers and then get your stuff, go to another part of the parks and get another locker....someone else may know, I just never really noticed.

Before 9/11 the lockers (which are always located near the entrance of each park) were a great deal (about $1) and we always used them for the convenience. But after 9/11 I think they wanted to discourage people from using them and the price went up astronomically. (I think to about $7) I believe you can transfer the use from one park to the other in one day, but we have stopped using them. Just too expensive for the convenience.

Now we bring in disposable ponchos from Walmart (the camping section has them) that can be slipped in a pocket and used if needed. We carry Brita water bottles when it is hot, a small camera, and I take a small change purse with my license, credit card, room key, $, lipstick, and that's it. Without kids, or with older ones, this strategy gets us through the parks.

If you think you're going to need emergency changes of clothes, and you would normally drive to the parks, you could always leave all emergency items in the trunk, especially if you arrive early and park close to the entrance. Except at the MK, and during the busiest seasons, the lots aren't that bad. But if you don't drive, renting a locker might be your best bet, since it would cost you the same to park your car as it would to rent a locker.

Hope this helps.

i think they are 7 including the deposit of either 2 or 5( you get either 2 or 5 back don't remember which it is now) we use them all the time in winter since we want a jacket or sweatshirt in the morning and evening but not during the day. they are good sized, i have a larger camera bag and our jackets which all fit fine the only problem being not particularly convenient areas except at epcot. there we wear our stuff till we get to ws then stow it at the international gateway lockers where we can get it easily at night
