Tell me about CSR

I have been reading about CSR and I have read both good and bad reviews.... We orginally wanted to stay at POR or POFQ but both of those resorts are full during our stay. (I'm still trying to get those resorts)

Please tell me why you like CSR or what you DON'T like CSR. Currently we have reservations at WL but wanted to downgrade because we decided to fly instead of drive...

We love Coronado Springs!! The resort is beautifully landscaped, has a great pool and slide, boat, bike and surrey rental, 2 arcades, very good food (Pepper Market and Maya Grill), friendly staff. We've stayed in the cabanas, which were convenient to everything, but aftewr walking the resort and seeing the ranchos, we have requested that area for our June trip. I can't think of anything I don't like about the CSR!! Here are 2 great links, take a look!!

How is the bus transportation?

The bus transportation is just like the other moderates. I will be honest, we drive to Disney, I'd prefer to drive my own car to MGM, Epcot and AK and just take to bus to MK. CSR is so close to MGM it is a waste of time to wait for the bus.

We have found that the bus system is great!! I understand that the CSR does not share buses with any other resort. We've never waited longer than about 10 minutes for any bus at CSR, and always sat, except coming back from Fantasmic late one night....At least we were on the bus!!

Hi! We LOVE Coronado Springs! The cast members are friendly, the resort is beautiful and the bus service is AWESOME! We've never waited long for a bus. Also, they have a great food court--everything is made fresh to order I would recommend that resort to anyone

The things that make the CSR the best:

1. The Dig Site - Wonderful pool! Great slide, children's area
2. The Giant Hot Tub - What can I say - can seat an entire football team.
3. The buses - The resort has their own and they are always running. You may have to wait 10 minutes tops, and they stop all around the resort so you never have to walk far.
4. Maya Grill- buffet breakfast. Nice, lesurely and relaxing. You can fill up before park hopping.
5. The grounds- they are soo beautiful. Each area has it's own look and design. There is also a nature walk that was great.
6. Can see fireworks from one of the parks. We flew in one time, had a 4 am flight, so we went to bed early. Was woken up at 11pm with the loudest bang and then when we looked outside saw the beautiful fireworks over El Centro.
7. Can rent sprites and bikes to use there. Most moderates do not have the sprites.
8. The staff was great. Every wish was granted. Need more towels? No problem.
9. Spa

Things you may not like:
1. The Pepper Market. Some people do not like how that is set up. We enjoyed the variety and portions are huge!
2. no monorail
3. Conventioneers - we were not bothered by them. Felt sorry for them going off for meetings when we were relaxing in the hot tub.

We stayed at CSR shortly after the resort 1st opened, & once since. It is quiet beautiful and love the pepper market (still a must-do each WDW trip). However some of the rooms are a major hike to the food court & main pool area. This is a huge convention/meeting resort, but fabulous none-the-less. Enjoy!

So you can see the fireworks from CSR? I know when we stayed at CBR we could clearly see the Epcot fireworks. From what park?

Never did figure that one out. I believe it was from the MK. Or maybe PI. Sorry. It was just very unexpected so just enjoyed it.
