There really isn't much character interaction at the CRT dinner. Cinderella will greet you in the lobby and you will have your picture taken with her. Then at dinner the Fairy Godmother and the mice will do a little song and dance, but they do not meet and greet.

There are mulitiple princesses at breakfast and lunch and they go around to the different tables and do meet and greets, but not at dinner.

Yes, its a strange 'character' meal. As posted Cinderella greets and poses for a 'complimentary' photo.n The mice and fairy godmother come out and do a little dance and song and sort of skit past your table barely waiting for photos and no autographs. The fairy godmother announces celebrations. Food is quite good, certainly not outstanding but better than it usually gets posted about, I think people expect wonderful because of the cost. You won't go away hungry but it doesn't have the Wow factor.

The venue certainly does though, we went last year and not only my DD but also DS and DH now say that a holiday at WDW wouldn't be right without dinner at CRT - so they must be doing something right.

We will also be doing (hopefully haven't made ADR's yet becuase of new system) 1900 PF and PSB.

So just debating on whether I should switch it up since we will see most of the princesses at PSB.

Decisions....Decisions!

I didnt know this- glad I found out now cause I surely would be disappointed.

We had dinner there last February and really loved it! The food was good and it was very special to be in the castle!

We just had dinner there last Friday night and LOVED it! We had done a lunch there in the past and liked it too, but there was something special about being there for dinner. While the Fairy Godmother doesn't come to each table, the mice do and my kids were able to get a picture with both of them. The fairy godmother also visited each "section" several times and I got several good pictures of her. We enjoyed the food VERY much and will probably be inclined to use 2 of our TS credits again in the future!

Thanks everyone! I think I'm going to make it dinner. I'm calling exactly at the 180 day mark so hopefully I get it. If not I'll do lunch or BF. We just HAVE to eat IN the castle this trip!

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but if you're staying onsite, you can call 180 days from your check-in date and make reservations for up to 10 days, so theoretically, you could make CRT reservations for more than 180 days away...

You can call WDW DINE beforehand and they'll tell you the date to call.

(I just did this and it was really 184 days out for me).

You're info is correct.

But, I don't think the OP will have any trouble getting this dinner booked. It used to be next to impossible to get into CRT (especially breakfast, it was like winning the lottery), but since it went up to 2 table service credits on the dining plan and about $45.00 per person for people paying out-of-pocket, it's just not as hard to get a reservation.

Yes you are correct. My 180 days out from check in will be 9/28 and I want to book this on the last day of our trip. Which will make it about 187 days. :)

That's good to know! :wizard:

CRT was fine for breakfast, the food was fine, the characters fantastic, but dinner was really horrid in my opinion. .. and it's not just a matter of expecting a lot for the price. The food just wasn't good. none of our party of five enjoyed what they got very much, but it was passable, and two of our party, got pretty ill an hour later, they also happened to share part of one of their entrees, so we're pretty sure it was a result of CRT. (I believe it was some thinly sliced beef? I can't recall). That being said, this was a few years ago, maybe things have changed.

We had my friend's 50th birthday dinner there in June. It was great! I had the prime rib.

We have eaten dinner at CRT 3 times in the last 5 years and the food has always been excellent. The prime rib is some of the best I have ever had.
